It is annoying when Tyrone won't stand up to her consistently, though maybe it fits in with the pattern of an abusive relationship. It's already been explained that it's no use having a DNA test without Kirsty's consent. She's been very manipulative in leaving his name off Ruby's birth certificate, and there's not much he can do, legally. Fiz's long (and apparently free) call to her solicitor explained this.
The most annoying thing is, that Tyrone is letting Kirsty hurt his long time mates. Fiz, Tina and Tommy have went under the bus, all of them are actually getting hurt by Kirsty and Tyrone won't say a thing. It is different when he allows her to hurt him, and when it involves his mates.

I agree with this, though we have been shown her controlling behaviour, a lot of which has been to do with separating him from his friends.

It really is so wrong when this happens. I expect this sort of thing is happening all the time in real life.

How people can be bored with this storyline is completely beyond me, it's the best story Corrie has had in years.
I think Kirsty will leave by next spring, leaving Tyrone holding the baby after everyone finds out about her dodgy ways. it is Corrie law that wrong 'uns must get their comeuppance (a pity that Toxic Tracy's was only brief, though)

You might be right, but it seems a bit unrealistic that we would then have both Kevin and Tyrone as single fathers on the same street.
Although Corrie seemed to have forgotten about Kevin's baby altogether now and he's rarely mentioned.
