The show itself has crashed and burned since.

Can't believe all that was two years ago. I still think it was a bit of a wasted opportunity to get rid of about six or seven characters in one go, but overall it was gripping television that hasn't been matched since (although the Eastenders B&B fire was very good.) The episode where the tram actually crashed, I was on the edge of my seat waiting the whole episode lol.

I watched the tram crash episodes again yesterday on my ipod after having downloaded them from iTunes. Enough can't be said about how great they are, even with having watched them several times before.

A fantastic week of Corrie with brilliant acting and so much drama which featured nearly the whole cast in some way or other. I think the only regular character not featured was Michelle, whose absence was explained as she'd gone to visit Ryan in Scotland.

The live ep in particular was amazing, with a birth, death, wedding and an affair reveal thrown in. My favourite scenes of the week were John attacking Charlotte, the crash itself, No.13 on fire, Claire's reaction to Ashley's death, the scenes with Carla and Leanne in the hospital, and Sally and Kevin's scenes after Molly's death.

The acting was all brilliant, although special mentions should go to Chris Gascoyne, Ali King, Jane Danson, Alan Halsall, Michael Le Vell, Sally Dynevor, Vicky Binns, and in particular Julia Haworth, her performance is heartbreaking to watch.
