Could the Papadapalopabopanopadous family arrive in Walford?

On twitter the actor who plays Nico has tweeted an actor called Duncan Mais that he enjoyed working on the shoot today.

I know I'm probably reading into this too much, but I did wonder if this could lead to the rest of Nicos family turning up in Walford and wondered what everyone on here thinks about that.

The whole ethnic family running a restaurant has been done before on ee and has been a flop (the di marcos) but I think a huge plus would be that this family would be unknown to us but yet they would still have played an important part in the history of Walford and it could be really good for us to have more characters who have links to the past.

Any "new" (as you said, the Papadopolous' do currently exist in EE, just not on-screen) family would be good. I didn't like Nico from what I saw of him though.

I didn't watch EE during the DiMarco era so I don't know if they were different situations but EE has done great with the Masoods. Hopefully they could do it again with the Papadopolouses, although the new family doesn't have to be "ethnic" obviously.

Who knows if they'll show up in EE, but they may pop up on Corrie because it seems one of the family married Wendy Crozier!!!

Ah yes, Wendy Papadopoulos. Or Wendy Flamin' Crozier, as Deidre likes to call her.

I'm guessing she married into the Papadopoulos family which owned Gamma Garments; the shop Emily worked in during the 60s.

Took me ages to read that thread title, Scrabbler . Papadopolous seems like one of those names where every letter of the alphabet has seemingly been thrown in and then jumbled up to make the name . Well, certainly the name on the thread title anyway lol.

But yes, I think it would be interesting if the Papadopolous family turned up. I'm not a fan of Nico personally, but as you said, they are part of the history of the show so it might be a good idea to bring them in at some point.

Not a fan of Nico, but it would be nice to see the legendary Popodoplous family.
Though I have to say I do like the mystery behind the original Mr P (Dots boss, Lover ) I love it that they have these kind of characters Fat Elvis and in CS Fat Brenda

I'd love to see Nico back, and the time is right for a new family in EE I think rather than another Branning extention.

So I'm all for this idea, or failing that the Meadow family would be good

The guy who manages McKlunky's, Fatboy used to work there, and he also had some minor trouble with Lola - who eventually gave birth to Lexi in there!

Yes the Papadopoulos family are part of the shows history dating right back to the beginning with the original Mr Papadopoulos owning the launderette. He was never seen onscreen and died in 1992 and that was when we were introduced to the current Mr Papadopoulos who has appeared a few times over the years albeit briefly. With the introduction of Nico recently it is possible that we could see his family at some point.

He can be the granddad that's always refered to, but never seen! They'll need someone to take over the laundrette, if they use that set again, so the Popodoplous family (mum and dad) could be in there, with their son in McKlunkies and a daughter somewhere else?

The original Mr P is dead according to wiki. The current owner of the launderette is the son of the original Mr P and the uncle of Nico.

I think they should scrap the launderette now and put something else in it's place, like a chemist.
