Emmerdale: Was the festival crowd CGI'd?

Seemed like that CGI'd a whole lot of the crowd, the back third to be precise.

They used a technique like this on the dawn of the dead remake, the multiplied the zombies using green screen when the dude was chucking the propane tank out the van.

Thoughts?

61 cast and 350 extras + some of the 70 crew. Didn't seem much more.

290 extras meant to look like 10,000 extras. That's why Declan made £250,000 then

Give them a break!

It's a nightly soap, not a Hollywood movie. Leaving aside my thoughts on the entire plot, I didn't think they did a bad job of showing the 'festival'.

In previous threads I have said it was faIrly good. That stage wouldn't have been cheap to hire and nor would the bands. Other people have suggested it was actually meant to have been filmed at a real festival which was cancelled. So with this in mind they did a pretty good job!
