Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but why has Debbie's stairs been turned around. It used to go from left to right, and now it goes from right to left. Talk about lack of continuity.

I know its strange. Even their front door has moved. In fact the whole room is different now including where the kitchen is.
If it has changed because of the HD business they could still have kept the same room plan.

Yes, I mentioned this a few days ago on another ED thread. I thought I was going crazy to be honest, cos I didnt think that the continuity people could be so thick as to believe we wouldnt notice.

That kind of irks me as well. The fact they thought we wouldn't notice. I love emmerdale and haven't missed an episode, but continuity is so very important.

This is something I haven't seen anyone else mention but I swear their stairs have moved twice..

I remember the magazine Inside Soap talking about it ... And then a few months later it changed again.
No one seems to remember the fist change and I swear I'm not imagining it

Yes it has happened before it is very annoying

They often do this in soaps and we are supposed to just ignore it, the same way as extensions get built and rooms redecorated overnight.

Usually when stairs get moved (eg in Corrie Rovers years ago) it is to fit in with filming for a plot line, which leans towards the events in the live episode having something to do with Debbie and Cameron - other than just the birth !!
