I've been taking ibuprofen.
The symptoms I've had is ringing (mainly at night in bed), excessive ear wax and it feels blocked but I can still hear out it. It sort of feels the same way as when water is stuck in your ear except it's been like that for 3 days now.
I'm going to the pharmacy tomorrow so I'll see what they say.

Ja that's an ear infection, I've had them enough times to know! You will get antibiotics and possibly antibiotic drops, it will soon clear. Not sure if a pharmacist can sell you those or if its prescription only.

I'm not sure if the doctors will be open tomorrow
I was hoping to be rid of this damn infection before New Yeas Eve, I was hoping for a night of passion going into 2013, no point if I feel like crap :/

Try the warm olive oil in the meantime....only a few drops on a teaspoon you've warmed in hot water, slide it in then bung in cotton wool to keep it there. It will do no harm and may just do the trick!
There are also NHS walk in centres which should be open, for minor injuries and ailments....not quite A&E but no appointment necessary, just turn up and be prepared to wait.

Yeah I've just literally read this, I phoned the NHS 24 a few hours ago, got a taxi up the hospital and I've been prescribed with Amoxicillin, but thanks anyway
You'd think they would be busy on Boxing Day but it was pretty dead, there were about 7 people in total there.
