You've lost your immune system. Can you remember where you last had it. Retrace your steps. I haven't had a proper cold, let alone flu, for over 25 years.

Good vibes for flu jabs and really bad colds.

I'm having a slightly shitty day already, completely due to having to deal with a very stupid person. I would love to tell them to eff off, but I really can't. Frustrating as hell. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Flu jab is most sensible thing ever. Got to get mine sorted!

Get well vibes to KJ.
Tissues, Lemsip, hot toddy and lots of rest (((((((blanket cuddle)))))))

And some vibes for Laura too - hope your whooping hops off!

I've had a busy day today and another tomorrow - keep getting my non-contacts nicked for covers in ohter subjects, which I feared might be the case. BUT - have arranged not to work last lesson on Friday so I can take Melong to ymnastics - so at 2.30 on Friday I'll beskipping out of the door. Tee Hee Hee!

Warming vibes for a nasty chilly day!

Flu jabs are only useful for the most predicted strain of the virus. If another strain comes along, you'll still be susceptible. It's not a catch all system.

Happy skipping!!!

I've done hundreds of miles this week and can't wait to get home. Most knackered.

*Joins in with skipping*

Get well vibes to flue-y folk. I'm afraid I've always shied away from vaccines where they only cover the most common strain of whatever it is - on the basis that I don't want to be lulled into a false sense of security. I don't have the health issues that dictate I should have the flu virus yet, so thankfully not had to make that call

In other news I found out yesterday that a former colleague who 'covered' for me while I was having my op eighteen plus months ago decided to use the opportunity for his own ends. I should be surprised and disappointed, but I no longer am. People have a funny way of showing themselves in their true colours eventually. Personally, I'd rather have a clear conscience and be able to live with myself

TFIF...

I've lost that Friday feeling ever since they made me start working every Saturday - and Saturdays are horrendously busy. However, at least I have that Saturday feeling to look forward to tomorrow late afternoon

Nothing much planned for the weekend aka Sunday although we should be having lunch on the Esplanade provided it's not raining. I think we're having lunch near the pier at the Marina so we can watch how the other half live with their fancy-pantsy boats and whatnot

We went toy shopping for DestructoPup today as her last batch have been almost completely destroyed. We don't really look for toys like the majority of owners do, we measure them by their ability to withstand her jaws for more than 5 minutes and have steeled ourselves to accept that they will look tatty and crap within no time but at least she's having fun. We bought her an absolutely ginormous beef bone today as well.... they said it's beef but I'm fairly sure it's T-rex. Well that's her share of the tax refund money gone, YoungPlum spent hers last weekend and my share goes on the car rego - such fun!

Glad to read you're on the mend KJ - I wouldn't dare suggest that your illness was anything less than a full-blown majorly incapacitating lurgey.

Sad, some people suck.
Still, as you say, at least you're you and not a sad-ass who does vile things to ill people...

TFIF indeed, been a busy week. But here we are at the other end, and I now have half term; so will still be working hard, but at home, not listening to year 7 call each other horrible names

jra - I know it's not a failsafe, but I have bronchial asthma so I'm advised by my GP to have it done. I'm also quite carful these days about where my hands go, as most bugs and viruses are passed by skin-to-skin contact and people touching their faces after touching an infected surface. I've had the real proper Flu once and spent a fortnight in bed and two weeks recuperating afterards - don't want that again!

Hugs and vibes to tired and hardworking Grumpies - enjoy your break, whenever you get it!

I'm home! I'm on the PG!

Sad - I'm sending *fall over and poo in your pants* vibes to your ex colleague.

Plummy - do buy yourself at least one great book from your tax refund. You deserve it.

jra - hahaha I quite like your taste in music actually.

handy - I so know what you mean about the flu. I had it in my teens - I went from being really fit and sporty to not being able to make it up the stairs. It took a lot getting over. You do right getting jabbed.

No. Just no. I want to carry on loving Sad in that special way I do and if we were to play Scrabblydoodah she would most probably win and then I'd have to kill her.

As you know, I'm (usually) heavily into hardcore 80's music and trance/techno music.

No chance. Might give you a run for your money on Song Pop though. I've just had to uninstall that particular app from my phone - it was too slow

Re Pure shores - love it All Saints were pretty cool. I remember at the time people knocking 80s music and saying it was all rubbish - it's by far my favourite musical decade

What.

Be there or be square.

The beer tasted good, but the women tasted even better.

Those are about the only two things I remember really from my polytechnic/university days.

Men 3-4 units a day. More like 3-4 units per hour.

I reckon I've drunk 250000 + units of alcohol in the last 25 years. I'll ask my liver.
