Missed the storm here, just like in Swindon (1987).

What I wouldn't give to have been on that plane with you Bumpiness and everything

Here, no dramas, the most exciting event today being the return of little Sadette to her digs later after a weekend 'at home' (i.e. I've nearly finished the washing and she wants to get back to her social life).

I know my place...
I thought of you and how you would've hated it. It was so bad I had to forego my Merlot. But at least little Victoria wasn't on board again.

And things are going about 1000 time worse than I thought they would, and I thought they would be pretty bad when I set off. I've truly reached the flogging a dead horse stage. Thinking of coming back tomorrow, if I can get a flight.

I know that you think that you understand what you thought I said, but I am not sure that you realise that what you heard is not what I meant.

Do it. Sod's law says if you leave it until Friday, little Vicky will be returning from her half term break

Sending safe journey vibes to the travelling bat.
Hope the horse is somehow resurrected soon...

Here, I am in the land where there appears to be no consensus over who's in charge of what, what's happening when and what I'm exactly meant to be doing. On the one hand this is quite liberating; on the other it's totally inefficient and driving me mental. If it was MY department I'd have a proper handle on everything that goes on within it... but it's not, and that's how things are different these days...

I would like to have snowy's day from yesterday instead, plzkthx...

I was going to log on last night, laura, but I fell asleep
It's amazing what an hour's commute each end of the day will do for you in that regard!

Sending vibes to you, and to batty, flogging away there, and to everyone else who needs any.

We watched How To Tame Your Dragon when I got in from work last night; really, really good film. Highly recommended. See if you can spot which one is voiced by David Tennant (no cheating!)

Another long day at the coal face and I seriously doubt I'm that much closer to a solution. So, I'm going to buy a large slice of cake, some bubble bath and a new bathmat, and I'm going to spend the evening watching a DVD and not worrying about how much poorer I am for dealing with all this poo. Yup, it's as sound a plan as any.

This time last year I'd've been sharing the cake and really wish I could be there to help ease the pain ... enjoy the soak xx

I am puzzled by your lack of half term However, as regards the rest, remove your conscientious hat and remember you don't want to stay there so it ain't worth losing sleep over. Hugs xxx

i had a half term.... the week before Melony's (started on Friday 18th). So I spent it doing housework... *sigh*

No, you're right, it's not worth worrying over.
Just exasperating!

I like quite a lot of things about the school, so it's fine for supply and knowing that I'm only here for weeks makes the journey to work and back just about bearable...

In general, we should all aim to teach the horse to sing. A classical education, I haz it.

Good thinking KJ, my next step will be teaching a horse to sing. Only it will have to be a different horse coz the first one is dead, innit.

Today I'm torn between pretending to still not be here and having a major skive, and getting caught up on the mountain of stuff that awaits my attention.

It's a real dilemma.
