I'm not liking this at all. I generally don't really care when they make changes but this one isn't good. Am I being dumb but I can't see how to jump to the last unread post anymore?

Apart from that, all is good.

There I was in my hotel in Madrid last night after a long day at work and I nearly had a heart attack when I checked out DS.

In Google Chrome you can set the minimum font size, that helps make text on DS more legible.

Hope you like.
I do like. Cheers. More apt right now than you know.

It's a funny old world. Night grumpers all

I bought 2 of the below yesterday from Carphone Warehouse for £0.99 + £10 topup on Orange.

Morning. I don't like the new design. I'm on the blob. And my highlights don't look how I wanted them to.

On the other hand I'm getting my head around boring tax stuff and complicated Christmas arrangements.

It all looks a bit sterile and clinical, doesn't it?
Am missing the blue!

And I bet the EEK smilie who was my fave is all different too.

Mind you, if that's all I've got to moan about (and it is, really) then things can't be all that bad.

Hope everyone else is well...

A cable was obstructing the wireless receiver for my mouse and playing merry hell with the mouse functions. I didn't realise the signal was so easily affected.

In other sad news.

The mother of my best friend has died of cancer two days ago. I received a phone call earlier this evening from said friend and I basically said, be there for your dad, he'll need you for comfort and definitely don't cancel the already booked trip for Christmas in order to see him. I've met his parents, so there is some (extra) emotional attachment for me.

Sad times, indeed.

Advice here guys. Should I send my friend a condolence card?

Personally, I think that would be a lovely idea. You've told them to be there for their Dad but your friend will need support too over the coming weeks so sending your condolences and reassuring them that you will be there if they need to talk etc.. would be a good thing. Whilst friends know deep down that other friends will be there, in these circumstances it doesn't hurt to have tangible evidence in the form of you taking the time/trouble to write. You're a good bloke.

Nothing to report here. Busy at work as always and things are only going to get busier in the run up to Christmas. Our Christmas uniform includes bright red shirts, so I look like a walking tomato.... but not quite as round .... ha! just thought, I'm a plum tomato Oh if wit were shit,I'd be constipated as my late mother used to say ..... actually she didn't ever say that she was too much the lady, I'm not, however

YoungPlum has her last day at school tomorrow for the year. Grade 7 next year - eep! Her last year at primary school. She's over the moon and has been dancing since she got home because in her report card was a letter confirming her teacher for next year and once again, she got the teacher she wanted. Strangely enough, she changed her mind about which of the two teachers she wanted a couple of weeks ago after they had a "Bump Up Day" at school. One teacher is hilariously funny, but the other is a more serious chap but she thinks that he will be good for her. She's an odd one at times.

Hope everyone is doing ok and I don't want to hear/read any stories about how well prepared you all are for Christmas. I haven't given it much/any thought yet and I'm not sure when I'll get the time to shop. Eeep!

Thanks Ima. I've told him to phone me any time, if he needs support and/or advice. A couple of local shops sell cards around here, so I'll have a look there.

I haven't done anything yet for Christmas.

I am cautiosly optimistic that our internet connection is back... East Coast Flooding brought our transmitter down!

I note with pleasure that the EEK smilie has returned - hooray!

jra, a card is always good in those circumstances. Your friend will re-read it at some time in the future and it will help him just that little bit.

Happy Birfadee to goshie - you're not old, cos I'm older! :mmwah:

SEnding good travelling vibes to batty and search parties out for Sad...
