Always good to encounter a fellow insomniac

Here, I am mostly seething and therefore unable to sleep

Morning from sunny Warsaw. Very sunny Warsaw. There's no snow and I feel cheated. But if only all problems were this big, right?

I've put up a couple strips of Christmas lights in the main part of the house. One is blue and the other multi-coloured.

The remaining programmable strip of white lights has a number of faulty LED bulbs, but I may just stick them along the bannister (multiple rows), so it doesn't show up too much.

Absobloodylutely. You have pierogi, you ratbag, you can't have snow as well

Here it's a gloriously sunny day and I am reaping the rewards of a sleepless night by trying to write a report fuelled with tea and chocolate cake. <--- that's meant to be a smug kitty. The new smilies are rather odd <--- wtf is that???

Hi
Not much happens in mine, but I enjoy reading about what other people get up to.

We saw Santa today. He was just walking down the street, all casual like, alone, not an elf in sight. Seemed to be in a hurry.

Hello, folks! *waves to Fanny*

Sorry to be a bit AWOL - can't get on DS from work and home stuff is all tosy turvey ATM - had a couple of hours sleep earlier, now eating supper so I can take my hormone pill and surfing the web!

Helped Melony write her Christmas cards tonight, all ready for school party tomorrow. Getting to be a grown up girl... her, not me!

I rather like the new smilies. Random cats are good!

I'm not abusing root vegetables or cabbages this time. About a dozen ageing tomatoes are being turned into pasta sauce.

Finally got home to my bed at 3.30 am today after 4 pubs and about 10-12 pints over a 15 hour period. The first time I have been home in 2 days after staying over at a mates place on Thursday night.

Somebody bet me in one of the pub/clubs, if I would give this very attractive black lady my phone number, so I just walked over to her and gave her my details on a bit of paper. That will be a pint there, mate, I said to this guy. But, as I have never spoken a word to her in my life, I don't expect the phone to be ringing any time soon.

Then there was the guy that started on me for mentioning to him these women were drunk and being prick teasers. He backed off when I told him 'You see that man bag I've got, there's a brick inside there'. This is obviously a lie, but it was a good wind up.

All and all a good laugh, but my mate is a bit pissed off with me for not taking him out last night. I left him at about midday yesterday after he had taken about a dozen pills and quaffed nearly two bottles of methadone for his cancer treatment and was basically in a different zone. It was like talking to the walking dead, zombie style. And then I get phone calls at 5 o'clock (today) in the morning, as if I'm going to answer those.
