Merry Christmas to all you Grumps. Hope you and your families all have a wonderful day full of fun and nonsense.
YoungPlum is currently over the moon and feeling very special, as she should because she is special - to me anyway Christmas started early here as my friend and her kids traditionally exchange presents on Christmas eve and then they go up to her mums for a big family Christmas lunch on Christmas day itself with all the aunts and cousins and whatnot. So they're all here at the moment and there is lots of laughter and screeching and so much bacon!! YoungPlum rarely eats breakfast so we're having breakfast for tea tonight. This lunchtime while the turkey breast thing is roasting, YoungPlum and I are going to bath the dog, which is a mahoosive undertaking, because she has a new collar for Christmas, it's all black with bling detailing.... sparkly bone and skull and cross-bones in red and silver. She'll look stylish yet well'ard DestructoPup also got a squeaky croc that is supposed to be very hard to destroy.... we shall see. I reckon it will be in pieces before lunch. It's been mad the last few days at work - I'm so tired! Day off today and then back to work tomorrow - but at least it's double time and a half. Anyway, in spite of having no family here to share Christmas with, we're having an awesome day! I'll maybe get to speak to my brothers later today or tomorrow - but I'll have to check on time differences as one of them is in Central America at the moment and I have no idea of the time difference, probably about minus 16 hours. I would appear to be wittering! I'm supposed to be ripping a couple of CDs for YoungPlum, I'm going to get busted soon as she's already noticed that I'm typing .... eeep! Merry Christmas I look forward to reading about the Grumpies Christmasses.

Merry Christmas I look forward to reading about the Grumpies Christmasses. ![]() Anyway, I got everything sorted out regarding pressies and cards in time for Christmas. You can check the time difference on your PC using the settings for the clock. It's -16 hours from Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane and -15.5 hours from Darwin, according to my PC. I once made the mistake of phoning a lady friend in the USA at 12pm, thinking it was 6pm (6 hours ahead), when in fact it was 6am (6 hours behind). She was up luckily and saw the funny side of it, after I had apologised when finding out. At one time every place in the UK had its own local time until trains came along, because it was a nightmare regarding setting the train timetables. So, now we have GMT here and every country in the world has their time based on GMT, which not surprisingly goes through Greenwich in London. |

Merry Christmas lovely grumpies! Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The batcave is very quiet at the moment as I'm the only one up. If the boys don't wake up soon I'm going to start humming carols and rustling wrapping paper. |

hope everyone else is having a good day and was spoilt rotten lol. We had a lovely day yesterday - lots of food and relatively little activity. Well, we made it out for a late walk and that was about it! More of the same to come today. |

Melony got a new scooter for Christmas (a big-girl's one with TWO wheels, not three) so we're going out for a walk later on so she can test it out.
We just spent the morning lying on our bed eating biscuits, drinking tea and playing on the various pads and tablets at our disposal. Most excellent!

Laura, fankoo. I'm back on the PC now and typing is faster. I hope all grumps had and are having a lovely time.
I'm loving jra's pub adventures. My footy friends and I have a story that would be right up his street ... it involves a rather well endowed lady we met who took a shine to us on the train and who marked her territory by placing her boot (gently) between the legs of my mate sitting opposite, claiming she had cramp.

Some people love the smell of a baby's head, I never understood, but I do know those big kitty paws can smell delightfully of chilli. I think it happens when they knead you in the hope/reflex of getting Mrs Cat's milk. (OK, I can be a bit of a tit sometimes, but it's true!)
![]() The current bunch are really sweet, but a bit overenthusiastic, hence the restricted access. If you start stroking one you get all three of them climbing all over you! |

KJ you are a cheeky monkey but I lubz ya ! Hope you enjoy your KindleFire - I'm still dreaming of an iPad Christmas .... Laura, I do hope you feel better soon and start getting some proper sleep. I'm off to work again shortly and then it's my weekend off! Yayyy! I'm still not used to the whole concept of two days off in a row, so it's very exciting! |

Spoiler
I've been spotted in town drinking by acquaintances of one of my tenants. Dunno who they are, but I suspect one of them is the one with the big nose that likes playing drums loudly in the open behind the local offie. Now you know why we have so much rain in the UK, so there can be peace in the neighbourhood. Not much going on at the local knocking shop, as if I would know. I'm still on the look out for that sexy red head that every one is telling me about. I wonder if she accepts American Express. I believe she was the one sitting outside behind said offie, on the sofa, during the hot summer weather, with two of her fee taking buddies. Who knows. ![]() I haven't seen fat arse guy around recently, who thinks it's a good idea to leave piles of tyres lying around in the local neighbourhood. He's probably tanked up on wacky inside with our local substance seller.
