Yo dudes and dudettes.

The nice thing about the holidays if you can avoid work between Xmas and New Year is letting your body clock drift.

We're supposed to be starting to reset ours for return to work purposes.
With no noticeable effect whatsoever.

Did you hear the footie results this aft, then? *whistles*

Hi. Dudes of the yo.

Nothing much to report today.

There was a good Horizon programme about cats on BBC4.

The Secret Life of the Cat.
Series exploring topical scientific issues. Horizon discovers what your cat really gets up to when it leaves the cat flap. In a groundbreaking experiment, 50 cats from a village in Surrey are tagged with GPS collars and their every movement is recorded, day and night, as they hunt in our backyards and patrol the garden fences and hedgerows. Cats are fitted with specially developed cat-cams which reveal their unique view of our world.

Sad's just about to jump in the shower and go out again

In all honesty I think we'll be back early - we can't handle the pace

We're staying in this year - no stamina at all!

Only just recovering from the mad carry on last half term, so not inclined to do the dirty stop-out thing this week. Plus Mr M has to go back in to work for a couple of days on Thursday and Friday, so no Big Beers for us! We'll be watching Sherlock, though.

At the moment, I cba to do battle with all the piss heads that will be out tonight and tomorrow morning. Any excuse not to go out.

I might make my own cribbage board instead. Not really, though. Yes, it's going to that exciting.

Spoiler

If it's like tonight, it's going to be bloody cold tomorrow night, or should I say today.

I'm not going out either. I'm not even going to stay up and see the new year in with YoungPlum this year, I've got an early-ish start in the morning so I'm going to be a boring old fart and go to bed at the usual time.

Nothing much happening here. I just work work work and YoungPlum stays home and plays. The weather here is weird - it's nearly always a constant sort of 30, 31 or 32, day in day out for weeks but some days feel so much hotter than others. We're going through a hot 31 the last few days but whilst I would like to be cold for a change, I don't envy you all the wild weather you've been having. It looks dreadful when I read the news clips.

I'm going to go on another of my health kicks for the New Year and go back to saying NO to LARD. My friend/landlady whilst having her own weight issues is also a bit of a fitness freak and used to go to the gym regularly. She's now decided she can't afford the gym but is going to do fitness stuff at home and she intends to make me join in - eeeeeep! She'll kill me!! I'm searching out good hiding places at the moment in readiness for tomorrow - I did point out that I had never actually agreed, but she is aware of that, but says agreement is unnecessary, I'm doing it anyway - she's scarey, she is!

If I don't post again before the new year - then I hope you all have a lovely New Year celebration and wish all the Grumps, past and present (and the lurkers too) a most excellent 2014 and that the new year brings good things to you all.

We're now in for the night too, with fizz and fondue to look forward to. It would've been nice to go out but we're back on the road again tomorrow so have to be sensible, like Plummy.

Hope everyone has a fab night, in or out.

I did go out after all, KJ.

Quiet pubs, but it was a great laugh observing the antics of many people who, to put it mildly, were clearly very worse for wear, during my travels. I can barely stand up, me, cuz I iz cool innit, while texting shyte on their phone(s). A pissed up scantily clad woman, that can hardly walk in a straight line without falling over, is not exactly a very good or sexy sight.

One bloke who was well skull ******, asked me if I wanted to have him (sexually). I politely declined.

Another guy, that had a bottle of vodka (half drunk) and was smoking spliff with his friend, dropped the bottle onto the pavement smashing it. How I laughed, internally. When I handed him his bottle of lemonade mixer, he threw it down the road, saying 'What use is that to me'. Way to go, douche bag.

Then in one part of town, it looked that the entire taxi population of Bedfordshire had converged on this one area.

I got a playlist from the lady DJ at one the pubs, as I liked the music she was playing. I may well inflict some of it on DS, if I can find it on YouTube.

I saw the London fireworks from inside one of the pubs. It looked rather good.

A fairly entertaining night out (roughly 11pm-4am) for just under £15 (4 pints of beer and a takeaway).

Spoiler
