Oh ****, I've got to do that again. Maybe I'll tell them this time around I'm on my period. I think I've run out of other excuses for not filing the legalised theft form on time.
If that works as an excuse I'll eat my hat

I actually typed in f e c k there, not with the u and the word censor was feeling hungry, like it will with this (****), but not fecking for some reason. It was either that or Father Ted had a look at my post and said you can't fecking type that, **** off.

Father Jack is a qualified trained actor, but most of the time in FT he said f e c k, girls, arse.

Mrs Doyle. What would you say to a brick?
Father Jack. F e c k off brick.

I love my brick.

I'm all ears. Tell us more.

At the end of the episode Speed 3, Father Ted gets hit on the head by a brick falling from outer space and a bit of paper with 'Shit happens' written on it burns on the ground. Comedy legend.

I've got a bottle of rum in front of me saying please drink me.

So what, you might say.

This however, is a bottle of overproof rum. J Wray (maybe he is a brother of J Kay as well) & Nephew.

Spoiler

44.1 alcohol units. That's 10-15 days drinking allowance for a man roughly, 15-22 days for the ladies, according to www.drinkaware.co.uk . I am aware I have a drink in front of me.

Ouch, poor snOwy. Feel better soon.

I do feel very Friday-ish, though. We all got home this afternoon after being all over the place since last weekend so it feels like the next one is about to start.

Greetings, grumpies, and apologies for my absence - started at a new school on Monday and have been trying to get a sensible routine sorted ever since!

Plummie and Laura, you misunderstood! Mr M and I eat sprouts - Melony scorns every vegetable known to humankind and my chances of getting a sprout down her are zero!

jra - Despicable Me is intelligent, dark and genuinely funny. Second one is very good too.
Give them a go, you won't regret it.

Finally saw The Hobbit 2 today as M went to a party!
Absolutely loved it... Martin Freeman is a god amongst actors, dragon was fantastic, and the cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers. Woot!

No other real news... hope you guys are all chipper!

Another must see tonight.

FILM: Evil Dead II
On: Film4 (15)
Date: Saturday 11th January 2014 (starting in 1 hour and 1 minute)
Time: 23:25 to 01:05 (1 hour and 40 minutes long)

Not so much a sequel as a reprise of the original, Evil Dead II sees Ash, the survivor from the Tennessee wood cabin in The Evil Dead, inadvertently unleashing the spirits of the dead in a remote wood cabin in Michigan after reciting 'Necronomekon - The Book of the Dead'. And that's when the plot sickens: an army of decomposing dead people and evil spirits kill Ash's girlfriend and then spend the rest of the night trying to ensure that Ash and a group of new arrivals to the cabin - including Anne, who may have the solution to the problem - will all be dead by dawn.
(Subtitles, 1987, 18, 5 Star)

Director: Sam Raimi
Starring: Bruce Campbell, Sarah Berry, Dan Hicks, Kassie DePaiva, Ted Raimi, Denise Bixler

The first two films are pretty tame by today's standards, being just make up and special effects essentially.

I've got the first 3 ED films on DVD, see www.dvdcompare.net for best editions.

I went for these (all R1 versions).

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (£13-06. Condition: new)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (£4-26. Condition: Like new.) (*)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (£3-66. Condition: Very good

(*) The seller sold me the very rare tin box edition of this, which is IMO worth at least ten times the price, probably by mistake. All contents were intact and it also plays on R2 region players.

-Finally the R2 French CE also has additional unique extras on the second disc.
