Mouse news!
MrsKJ and MsKJ rescued some stuff from the loft, some of which has been nibbled by meeces. The crazy critters appear to have eaten a whole box of those bath balls with scented soap/oil inside. Who needs a ?

Thanks to you and others that recommended it. ![]() It's one of the few films of my experience that everyone rates highly. Sad, no more. excuses. Watch it - it genuinely is brilliant. Second one is excellent too. |

This weekend I finally did battle within the Stinking Pit of Doom and was victorious! YoungPlum has a clean and tidy bedroom, totally reorganised and looking rather lovely. She wants me to ask if we can paint the walls lime green though
![]() It's a bit wet windy and wild here today and we have a potential cyclone forming off the coast - looks like it will be a small one (hopefully) and their best estimate at the moment is that it should cross land about 100k south of here, so we'll just get blown around a bit and somewhat more soggy. We shall have to wait and see though. |

Bravo, Plum!
My bedroom was lime green back in the 70s... We're one cat short tonight; no sign of Diego yet. Two thirds of a Stampede feels all wrong... ![]() If anyone has any Come Home Kitty vibes, we'd appreciate a few!

My many battles with various officialdoms continue - some I'm winning, others not so much. And I remain baffled by just how stupid grown up life can be at times, as I file emails and letters away in my mental 'you couldn't make it up' and 'what planet would this work on then?' compartments. |

Thanks for the kitty vibes of all shapes and sizes, guys - they worked!
![]() He appeared back at about half seven this evening, so was missing for about 36 hours; he's limping quite badly so will need a vet visit tomorrow, but has eaten like a hog and seems fine in himself. Hoorah! ![]() Hugs and vibes for busy batty and for all the GoWs, wherever they may be! |

Really glad to read that The Stampede are back to full force with the return of the prodigal puss.
Here in todays most important news I bought a new kettle and guess what colour it is? It's Plum Beautiful shiney plum colour. I was almost pleased that YoungPlum blew up the old one, apparently putting water in a kettle is over-rated. I know it's not good use of my money as there are far more important things to buy but it's beautiful and it's making me happy. Actually I needed cheering up as I went to the dentist today as I've had toothache the last few days and it got somewhat bad - this enterprise is apparently going to cost me an arm and a leg which doesn't seem a fair trade for a tooth as arms and legs are bigger and more useful Que sera sera. In other news one of my friend's sons has moved back into the house complete with girlfriend and 8 week old puppy. DestructoPup is no longer new kid on the block. For the last 4 or 5 days I'm not sure who is more scared of each other, him or her. Unfortunately she's now coming out of her shell a bit, and her invitation to play is somewhat brutal - when she wants the cane toads to jump she whacks them with her front paws and she's doing the same to poor little Max who is a bit bemused! I'm sure they'll sort it out in time. At least when I write "I'm sure", I really mean "I hope" and when I wrote "in time", I'm hoping that actually means "soon". Hmmmmm I could have just changed my sentence but that would have been far too easy ![]() Sad, you're very quiet lately - stop it - cease and desist, I don't like quiet, it unnerves me.

*waves to Plummy* Just a tad preoccupied - and that darn snowy keeps me busy with Scrabble on FB, dagnabbit
![]() I did have work every afternoon but the chid has worked out no-one can actually force her to attend school. Honeymoon period over, then. On the plus side, it meant I could stay home for a couple of deliveries today. Apparently the usual courier couldn't get the boxes in her car - a tad worrying since we have to get them to the daughter at uni...

Hmmm.... I want to ask if he's been neutered but there's a risk of reactivating an ancient debate right there

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Of course he's neutered - we always get our cats sorted, whatever gender! Specially the boys, though. No spraying, no fighting, no whoring, thanks v. much!!! As to where he's been - my own theory is that a dog or fox maybe chased him and he either got stuck somewhere or fell off something in his panic. He's doing nicely, though I suspect he'll get bored before he gets better. Eek... In other news, we've been out for tea for Melony's sixth birthday and they brought her an extra ice-cream with a candle in and everyone in the restaurant was asked to help sing Happy Birthday. Her little face was a picture!
