Afternoon Grumpies!

I am properly knackered, and not just because I've too much to do. It's the bloody insomnia that's doing me in.

I know.

I'm hoping that once I get next week over and done with I'll be able to have a few days off. But then I've been saying something similar for months!

I'm feeling a bit more chirpy today snOwy. It's probably down to finally getting some sleep... although I did have a dream about arriving at the airport with no bag or passport.

As long as she can hang by her toes from the wardrobe rail she's fine.

Bats you still awake?
Can't believe we're in the middle of Feb already, half term whoopy doo
wish spring and summer would hurry up fed up with all the rain, heartbreaking seeing all those flood victims, nothing much else happening at this end so all good, hope everyone is well dry and warm.

I've been up since before 4, thank you for asking, but getting on with a few bits and bobs, so finally feel like I'm getting ahead.

This one is. Still blowing here though - insane weather A few trees down locally I gather but nothing serious. Vibes to any of you in the south west though

Reporting in...
Power cut again on Wednesday night which didn't end till Thursday afternoon, very windy, pretty wet, but all okay.

Cat finally allowed out again, so can start retrieving my rather battered kitchen.

Still no central heating (boiler broke down a week gone Thursday) but hoorah for fan heaters....

Hugs and vibes to all tired, overworked, insomniac, poorly grumpies.
It has to stop raining some time!!!

Yep, waiting on a part. Old boiler...

M is on hols this week, so everything is a bit slower and easier for a few days. As for schools organising their own... bollox, says I. Just a gimmick, would never work!

Morning!

It's sunny and relatively calm outside, which is great because I don't fancy a bumpy flight!

I'm in a weird mood, though. Would normally be packing but I've got so much stuff over there now all I really need is passport (no one say a word ), phone, keys and wallet. So I'm at a bit of a loose end...

What wind? It was fairly gusty around here, but nothing more.

But, if you have been affected badly, hope you are all OK.

This one isn't (ahem) one of my attempts to use stuff up, it's just what I had lying around.

1 can chick peas drained.
1 small can tuna, drained.
Half a red onion.
3 tomatoes chopped into quarters.
A good splash from the 1 litre bottle of hot chilli sauce (mine looks like it comes from Pakistan).

Put onion in bowl, microwave 1 minute to take the edge off.
Lob everything else in, mix thoroughly.

I've been practising making wraps that don't fall apart, it's nice with the above.

Just for one, KJ, that sounds nice!

I'm trying to be healthy this holiday because there's always loads of cake laid on at work! So my lunch today was as follows:

Half a large carrot, grated
About a third of a tin of mixed pulses
A portion of Coronation Chicken sandwich filler
A banana

(first three mixed together to make a salad, last one afterwards for pudding!)

I did later succumb to a packet of Frazzles and a Teaser bar, but that was after a walk at the park with M so I reckon that was to help warm me up!
