oh anne, my heart goes out to you too
Thanks my love. I never get over the loss and I hate to sound cliched but in time you will learn to live with it, if that makes any sense. xx

I have home made banana cake here

And am feeling great, work went well this morning (could have been a disaster for all sorts of reasons but wasn't, yay) AND the essay that I forced my daughter to hand in despite her reservations (because she'd missed out a section) got such a good mark for the bit she'd done that the missing bits didn't matter Happy for her (and relieved that the right judgement call was made)

(((((((((((((Grumpies)))))))))))))))) Just because I love the lot of ya

Went out pubbing last night, got a bit Brahms and bumped into my nemesis, whom I met in one pub, only to see him come into the next pub I was at. Then he buys me a pint and a bit later sidles up to me asking for the ex next door neighbour's (mine) telephone number in his usual unsubtle way, as he wants to see her sons (him being the dad). I agreed to do this in the future, but it's BS, just to get the pond scum off my back.

Hi Collette. Long time no see.

Morning/ evening all

Sorry I've been quiet. All is ticking along here much the same as usual. We had another cyclone a couple of weeks ago so that was a bit of excitement, but it hit north of here in the end and had calmed down a bit to a category one by the time it passed over us, so it was just extremely wet and rather windy.

YoungPlum is doing well - her hair is no longer down to her knees, I attacked it with a pair of scissors last Friday. I cut off more than there is left Anyone looking at her now would still say she had long hair but it's sooooo much shorter. She loves it!

Please keep your fingers crossed for her/us as she has her interview on Tuesday next week for the high school she wants to go to. We don't have a Plan B if she doesn't get accepted, which is a bit of a worry. You have to pay school fees to go to Catholic schools here, and the cost for high school is practically double that for primary - so it's going to be a struggle, but it's a lovely school - very old fashioned.

DestructoPup has been relatively good, although after nearly 3 years of her life she has now decided that she hates geckos which run around on the ceiling of the patio and she is now trying to learn to climb up the trellis to get them. She's demolished a vine, cracked a plant pot and knocked the garden chairs over a few times in her bid to destroy them. Luckily, they know they're safe and just ignore the dopey dog - probably crap on her by way of revenge

Big hugs and stuff to sNowy and ghostylad - you're in my thoughts each day xx

Sorry again for disappearing.

DestructoPup is going to have a problem catching geckos, as they are the daddy when it comes to climbing walls and steep surfaces. They can even navigate ceilings without additional aid.

Best way, my darling.
Tons of hugs and love

Plummie, hi! *jumps up and down excitedly*
Vibing hard for Little Plum here - really hope she makes it!
Am sure her natural talent, intelligence and good looks - all inherited from you, of course - will get her there

May half term for cake and Lush somewhere, do we think?
I will likely be Manchester way for a short break for part of the week because Melony wants to go to Legoland Discover Centre (she actually wants to go to Disneyland Paris but was told no so this is her budget option!), but nothing is booked yet so I'll keep you up to date with what's happening.

Is a weekend or weekday better, do we think?

And we need somewhere we can all reach... if we make it somewhere on the East Coast Line that might well work...

I've talked to the lady concerned and basically said to her there is no way I'm going to give this asshole her personal details. She is a good friend of mine after all. She suggested I report it to the police citing harassment.

Yup, I'm just about to go in with the big syringe before they massacre each other. . Puts on Nurse Ratchet uniform. That's if the prophesied Armageddon, by one cheery soul, doesn't get them first!

Look, the Pramipexole is giving me the squits, I can resist the compulsive shopping and the pathological gambling, but give me a hope in hell of staying sane, don't mention uniforms!

I think I just came out.
