I'm not sure I need to buy more. We didn't quite finish the 12 (or was it more?) bottles we impulse bought last time.
I hope this was over a period of at least two days, as you don't want to drink your stock too quickly.

We had a system. Tasted them all first and then gave the favourites a proper go, just to make sure they were really nice.

Had to be done so we knew which ones to buy for taking home...

A friend of mine has since presented me with a sample of Blackberry vodka (home-made) - which just goes to prove, the more flavoured vodka you have, the more you attract

Here, we have snow. Just a dusting, but snow all the same. Unusual this far south this early in the winter. I might invest in those new tyres after all

Idiot drivers.

I nearly got clipped by a car on the pavement last night, by a guy pulling up too fast onto said pavement. So I tapped on his window, basically told him to slow down and get a bit more spatial awareness, i.e. drive with a bit more care and consideration. He was in the high risk category, insurance wise, and driving like a boy racer.

And we've also had some snow here. Outside, it feels like the Arctic.

We've still had no snow I don't know why I'm about it - I get very quickly bored of it all!

I like the vodka technique - just been discussing various recipes on fb for voddie, I usually pick some sloes for sloe vodka (and gin!) but this was a funny year for them so didn't actually get any... I shall need to send Bats with a shopping list

Also, had a worrying moment earlier... picked middle child from hell up from school (it was cold and dark, I was feeling generous...) and he jumped in the car and said "oooh beef stew for tea?" apparently I smelt of it here was me thinking I smelled of perfume, and mummyness and cuddles... trust a 12 year old to interpret that as food

Oh, I've missed it now.

Hopefully, it will be repeated.

Here's a couple of old clips by Victor Borge.

'I've come from Copenhagen and I was here before you'. Paraphrased and said to a couple of late arrivals at the above gig in Minneapolis.

I saw one episode recently. It was extremely graphic to say the least. I was a bit after watching that and I've seen some pretty graphic TV programmes and films.

"Misfits"? Really? In that case, never watch "Baise Moi", you'd have an aneurysm

Anyway grumpies - morning. Cold. Icy. Very busy. Quite grumpy. Also tired.

Also (exceedingly) grumpy. Mr Sad has a day off, and has decreed that the manky old tree will go up. I was hoping for a real one this year and in any case wanted to postpone until the weekend so the brats could come home and help. Apparently this is not possible.

Quite apart from anything else I had scheduled all the dusting for this week BEFORE he put the decs up, rendering dusting impossible. It's a good job I love the bugger.

If you go to 4OD you can watch all the eps, batty.
Series 4 is superb, so hope you get a chance to catch up

Have a ((((((hug))))))) for the rest of it!

jra - it *is* quite graphic, in terms of language as well as visual content. But it's one of the most emotionally intelligent shows out there. And funny as f*ck

Sad - excuse to not dust. What's the problem? *ducks*

I'm nominating that as 'quote of the day'.

This is going to sound a bit obvious, but it does need to be watchd chronologically, as the characters develop quite significantly through the show. So start at the start and work your way through.

That's wonderful and truly a "pants on the head" moment! I shall refrain from putting pants on my head at the moment as my friend already thinks I'm somewhat loopy and I don't wish to add any more fuel to the fire, but when I'm walking the dog later with LittlePlum we shall get in touch with our inner free range chickens and do the mad chicken dance of celebration dedicated to you while walking down the main road

Hope all else goes well for everyone. I had two shifts from work cut this week. Just as well I already bought LittlePlum's christmas presents or most of what I'd wanted to get anyway. Barstewards the lot of them, but this is the peril of being a casual.

Sad, I've let off a couple of virtual party poppers and drunk an imaginary toast to you.

Up the GOW, and Arsebiscuits to the Forces of Darkness Everywhere! \o/

It's the fruit vodka diet, innit.

handy - I always forget about stuff like that so thank you! And you're absolutely right about the characters developing, so start at the beginning jra. It's rude, but funny and smart.

Plummy - fingers crossed Christmas coming up will bring a few extra shifts.

Me, well, I'm monitoring the temperatures in Warsaw for when I go and things seem to be cheering up a bit. Minus 8 that's going to feel like -13. A few degrees warmer from the last time I looked.

Will do and thanks.

Sky LLU is playing silly buggers tonight and going up and down like the proverbial whores knickers, so bare (sic) with me.

UK Online (Sky's former business operation, now discontinued) used to have a 24/7 365 technical support centre, but Sky are now currently closed, so I don't know what the hell is going on, other than their DNS server is having a hissy fit.

Whatever the problem with broadband seems to have sorted itself out.

And it's a bit early for drunk women to be singing, but there are some in the street right now.

I've never sung when drunk. Anybody here like to fess up.

Nope, I'm in the clear. I often sing in the mornings, though, and I did catch myself humming in B&Q the other day, which was a bit odd but I suppose as long as I don't break into Singing in the Rain at random moments I can live with myself.
