Positively oozing vibes here too. Bloody animals really know how to get under your skin, don't they? The Sad dog is getting on for 13 so I know his days are numbered - just trying not to think about it although every time he struggles to get up or the back legs give way it's a harsh reminder. So totally get how this happening in such a young animal is heartbreaking for you.
In other news, I have managed to write two of three observations up in the past few days - nearly ten thousand words so far. Maybe I should go for that masters after all....

Still no change although the nurse said she saw his tail twitch today the vet is suggesting we consider having him PTS
I'm just wandering round really not knowing what to do and trying not to break down heartbroken I mean what has just happened? |

I would be inclined to ask the vet for a second opinion in that case mal - hellish if you do have to put him to sleep but there's no quality of life for him if he doesn't recover so it may be the kindest thing. That said, a specialist may have more optimism.. wishing you the very best of luck x

Is there another vet at the practice? Or someone the vet could bring in to look at him? I agree it's cruel to keep him alive if he has no quality of life, but you need to be absolutely sure he has no chance at recovery. Get a second opinion. Everything crossed for you, sweetheart. |

I made damn sure to look into my cat's eyes after deciding she should be put to sleep following a stroke. Let's hope the doggy tail twitch is the start of recovery.

Me three.
Gorgeous day here, so we're tackling the jungle that is the garden. It's more than a day's work, so there's a strong chance we'll leave it looking worse than when we started. |

Happy Birthday, batty
Here's hoping that your garden Looks less like a jungle And more like fabled Arden Now sit back with your glass well filled And have a well-earned rest For it's what you deserve, my dear, You simply are the best! Hugs and kisses, sweetie! Mmwah! |
