An alleyway in Pontypridd?
Random!

You must be something of an expert by now!

Let's see my hit list.

At my dads place.
At an ex girlfriends place.
Old St tube station.
An alleyway in Pontypridd.
At a rented place in Treforest.
My place.
A flight of steps at secondary (comprehensive) school.

And those are just the ones I can remember right now.”

I managed to fall over the tow bar of my caravan whilst holding 3 boxes of china. It was also as the secondary school I lived by where going home.

That's just reminded me of another one.

A few sets of bollards all connected by chains at the Uni student union, except between one set. Guess who missed the open gap and fell over the connecting chain while running fast, falling flat on their face. F*ck that hurt. My shins were begging for mercy at the time.

Give me a staircase and I'll fall down it. So far, I've been living up to expectations.

The alley in Ponty I thought was flat, rather than stepped (it was pitch dark). I found that out when I reached the bottom with severe grazes and bruising.

I sprained both my ankles at the time.

It's just as well I usually bounce when falling down stairs, as I'd have broken various bones by now.

There is a general theme here isn't there.

I've fallen out of a second floor window, luckily onto soft earth. To this day, I can't remember how it happened.

I've fallen 20 feet out of a tree. Luckily the branches broke my fall.

I've landed into a dense bramble thicket, after a trip and then falling.

I've jumped onto a plank of wood covered with seaweed, but it had a nail sticking out upwards. So, nice puncture wound there in one foot.

I fell down a cliff (about 20 feet).

All the above incidents (below = ) happened in Devon.

Here, well, it's another day already. Have spent most of yesterday carting youngest's belongings home and trying to find somewhere to put them, fully aware that what I've brought back so far represents approx. 30% of what there is yet to come.... and that's just from her...”

I ignored the tramps. I was on the way to see some women take their kit off. Beer and naked women. You can't fault that now, can you.

Yes, but that's just you though.

Knockers. Knock softly but firmly. I like soft firm knockers.

I'll swap you for a 45 year old.

KJ - I was clearing a kitchen the other day and thought of you. It was a jar of Krakus sauerkraut wot did it. And it was a few years out of date. You'd have shown it who's boss.

P.S. it wasn't my kitchen!

M - afternoon Snowy

BG - I'm seriously tempted with that swap. Yes, really. You need to have the 'daughter knows better than you' experience

I am mostly typing up another observation today while it's peaceful, since the daughter is currently catching up on her sleep .... dagnabbit, who pinched the eye-rolling smilie???

Evening all

I have had the nicest birthday I've had in many many years - probably since before my Dad died which was 11 years ago. It's a public holiday here today but I still had to work but at least it was penalty rates (woo hoo!) - and to be honest it made it a far better day than if I'd had the day off! From the moment I arrived in the morning til when I left in the evening, they made me feel special. It was all organised by my friend, the department manager, who'd got everyone to sign a card and I had flowers, and the store paid for a HUGE cream cake, baked in-store and then everyone got called up to the team room so they could sing happy birthday and have cake and stuff, which was good of the store manager to allow it as it meant everyone had an extra 15 minute break. The Deputy store manager sung me a personal happy birthday accompanying himself on the horn of the electric pallet-jack, it made a hell of a noise but was strangely beautiful

Then this evening a few of us went out to dinner for which I wasn't allowed to pay anything which meant obviously they paid for YoungPlum too and I'm just home! YoungPlum is going shopping this weekend to buy my present - god knows what she'll get me!

Anyway, sorry for the babble, but I've been totally overwhelmed by my friends/colleagues and customers kindness today.

Hope everyone else has a lovely day too

Just a little update. Dog has been sleeping and when he has done his 'four leg stretch' both his back legs were tensed a little. Then he did it again and I saw his toes on his worse leg spread out a little!!
He is still so very very week on his left leg. His right leg I have been getting him to weight bear on it when he has been e.g. eating but the left leg doesn't seem long enough to stand on!! ~~~~~xxx
