Despite 4 footy games last night, I got through a mere 3 cans of San Miguel. I postponed eating my curry until 22:30 or so (England kickoff was 23:00). So I was pretty restrained considering. I went to sleep at 04:00 ish.

Anyway, how did I defer the munchies mid evening? With celery! (celery! celereeee!) Which necessitated a dip. Ah. Erm. Oh dear.

I refined the dip recipe today, it's a Grand Chef KJ classic:

1 part tomato ketchup
1 part brown sauce
1 part chilli sauce

*flinches at the idea of KJ Sauce*

Monday.
But a day at home for me - poorly tummy at the weekend still not right, so a GP visit and a day resting up today.
Spent the whole day, pretty much, lying on the bed playing games on my tablet. It's a hard life...

Hope everyone else had a decent one.

Huggles!

Morning

I've just waved the youngest off to Magaluf for four weeks 'working holiday'. And for some reason decided to comfort-eat by using up the chocolate pud from the fridge which she brought home from uni ...it was only ten days over it's use-by date, what could possibly go wrong?

HM - I may be joining you in bed tomorrow

Well, let's face it, people don't go there to look at the geographical scenery.

Evening snowy. It's a bit quiet in here. I take it everybody is very busy, especially as it's summer. Well, it will be in a couple of days time.

Yup, busy busy busy.

Had enough of it, but continue to soldier on. A bit of sunshine always helps.

Mon dieu! C'est terrible!

Bonjour mes amis

Had a busy week this week which is good after some dreadful hours (as in not enough) for the last few weeks, I don't think it will last so I'm proverbially making hay while the sun shines! Which it isn't at the moment, as it's still dark - just getting ready for work at the moment, got a 7am start today. I don't like working all weekend, but needs must when the devil drives!

Oooh I'm having a religious posting day today, I've got God and the devil all in the same post! - apologies to my agnostic/atheist pals..... oh and to the religious ones to for being flippant .... and to everyone, just cos! Apologies are of course, on this occasion, totally insincere

Well I'd better shuffle off or I'll be in trouble. Hope all are doing well and keeping out of/getting into mischief

Au revoir!

Have had a fab day today, sitting in a beautiful garden, scoffing great food, in the glorious sunshine, with former work colleagues. Its on days like this I realise just how lucky I've been and how great life can be.

Sorry for being totally ungrumpy today

Sorry again for being AWOL - mad few days!

Still, at least being a bit rough last weekend means I could legitimately leave off the Healthy Weight Loss Plan for a few days! Am okay now, though, so back at it from tomorrow. At least eating lots of fruit and salad is easy in the summer time!

Hugs all round!

Good afternoon grumpy/ungrumpy people!

I'm sitting outside, sunbathing, and working on my phone. Not ideal (the last bit) but I'm past caring. I might even have a gin and tonic!

I read that the first time as a "grin and tonic"

Got the day off today because I had to work Sunday and considering that I've been on the go since 6 this morning doing house stuff, I've had a lovely day. I think it's because I'm choosing to do stuff rather than having to do it. Made a lovely cottage pie for dinner tonight and tomorrow and sorted out YoungPlum's bookcase which has been bugging me for a long time. I'm seriously not a clean freak but I do like bookcases that are tidy and organised. So I've sorted all her series of books out and arranged them by category but stopped short of subsorting by alphabet (I might do that next time). I know it won't last but for the next few days at least when I wander passed her room, it will look lovely.

Hoping that the rain holds off for a bit longer as my third load of washing for the day is out on the line. I cleaned out my part of the linen cupboard and some of it needed a clean which seems a bit rude to me as it was clean when it went in there!

A lady at work rather randomly gave YoungPlum one of those mini cupcake makers at the weekend, so late on Sunday afternoon, she was making cupcakes and a HUGE mess. Lots of giggling though, so it was a lovely afternoon! I haven't really done baking with her since she was a tiddler so it was good to be reminded that it's fun. I think our next project will be iced biscuits of some sort - if anyone has any suggestion, feel free to suggest!

Now I've just got time to have my lunch, read my book for 45 minutes or so then off to school to get my girly! It's probably all down hill from there

I didn't have my 'grin and tonic' in the end.

Lovely day Plummy. Yours I mean.

KJ - I'm in the process of booking Real Madrid tickets for my boy's birthday (I'm stupidly excited) so the next pictures you'll be getting from me won't be piggies.
