I'm not sure where home is either. Where the heart is I suppose.

Morning!

I have a Big Plan to start making more time for myself and today I'm going to try and fit in a swim. It's a work in progress, though ...

How was Monty snOwy?

Monty was brilliant
Saw them first time round in 1974 at Drury Lane and Eric Idle is as fresh as a daisy

*waves to everyone*

Sorry for the absence, headless chicken time again!

Plums, that's FANTASTIC news, really well done! \0/ \0/ \0/ *happidance*

Laura, I do try to let him sort of drift over my head, but then if I give an incorrect response because I wasn't fully paying attention he gets even grumpier!!! He has a lot on his plate at work ATM and his back is playing him up AND he has to have another toe operation. So I understand why he's grouchy, I just wish he'd calm down a bit. Bless.

Anyhoo, the kitchen won't clean itself. Sadly.

Grumpy hugs everywhere! *mmwah!*

Fankoo, snowy!

Looking like another hot 'n' sweaty day here. Yuk!

Cats are confined to barracks atm because they are young and foolish and don't understand about combine harvesters. They don't mind being in during the day (they sleep, mostly!) but I means I can't have the doors open and the kitchen gets really warm. Bleh!

Mrs KJ announces that the summer pudding (raspberries, blackberries) on the sink is past its date and may have fermented.

Challenge accepted!

Oh dear KJ

Here... well, last day of term tomorrow; waved farewell to Little Saddette who left this evening for Darn Sarf (flies to Canada on Thursday); bagged myself a new job earlier this week which I'm quite chuffed about if a tad terrified; think I will probably drink copious amounts of alcohol this weekend.

That is all

KJ - pissed on Summer Pudding? That'll be a new one!

Laura - cats somehow manage to be completely thick and very clever at the same time. Most impressed by Tabitha's ingenuity!

Sad - that's a late end to term!
Congrats on the new job! The terror is totally normal in my experience...

Summer holidays Chez Melon, week one.

Made a model of Grandad using air-drying polymer clay for his birthday
Made two caterpillars and two flowers from the same stuff
Loom band bracelets made from hair fasteners: five.
Loom band lessons pending for Mummy (with REAL Loom Bands and a Loom)... one
Ice creams consumed between us since Saturday - seven
Trips to cinema to see How To Train Your Dragon 2 arranged for Sunday... one

Housework completed - negligible.

Days till childminders is back from holiday - five.

I'll miss having Melony around all day every day but if I'm going to get anything boring done at all she's going to have to play at Childminders Julie's a couple of days a week!

Actually there were zero intestinal side effects so it's another victory for science!

I have gin.

And more plane tickets. The only good thing about travelling so much is that you get to know the cabin crew and that's always a plus when it comes to getting... well, gin... quickly.

Anyway, back to tonight's gin.

Glad you're plodding along LL.

Nothing much to report from the bat cave - but we're enjoying the fab weather. Makes travelling easier for a start. I'm dreading the dark winter mornings and evenings. In fact Batman and I are seriously thinking about making our base somewhere with a better climate, and sooner rather than later.

Does that mean you will have a large holiday home that we can all visit you when the dark morning and nights get to us also Having said that KJ does do a great job of the shed
