Morning!
![]() KJ, I reckon we all deserve each other. Good stuff happens along with the sh1t; it just depends where you are on the sh1t scale... Happy hump day, chaps. Let's all keep on keeping on; it's easier when we help each other a bit, no? Hugs all round! |

Just home from work and it's 12.45 a.m (ish) - I am so tired but so wide awake. I've decided I'm going to bed regardless as soon as I've had my cuppa and hopefully I'll be asleep quicker than last week when I was still wide awake at 4am. This time I have to sleep as I have to be back at work at 10am. Oh woe!
Not much happening - I think my supervisor is getting her own back as she has upped the sh*t jobs for Plummy quota but I'm just going to get on with it and not let her see it bothers me. I might be misreading the situation anyway, it might just be an unfortunate coincidence. Just started reading Neil Gaiman's Anansi Boys and it's quite enjoyable so far, I do like quirky! It's good to read something new as I've been doing a lot of re-reading lately. I'm plodding my way through the Song of Ice and Fire series again, I read it so fast the first time and it's equally good for a re-read. One day I'll get round to watching the series but for now it's gathering dust on my shelf. Hope the GrumpyGang all have a great day! |

Windy here too, snowbes.
Humber Bridge will be a big bag of lolz tomorrow morning if this keeps up - not! *sigh* Hope everyone keeps safe and warm. Plums - the TV version of Song of Ice and Fire is brilliant. Well worth dusting off and watching. Mr M and I saw the last Hobbit film today - traumatic but fab. I cried quite a lot...

I'm tired and the thought of a full day at work fills me with horror! So I'm best not to think about it .... so I'm going to lapse into daydream
Nothing much happening here.... actually nothing at all happening here. YoungPlum is still being an unsociable hermit and I have no time. Life plods along. |

Hope work went well Plummy!
I'm up early, with loads to do, but absolutely no enthusiasm or energy. I might just shuffle some paperwork for a bit and then go food shopping, and buy wine and cakes. Yup, that would cheer me up.

I had quite a pleasant day at work today ..... in contrast to the last week or so anyway! Part of what I enjoyed was being in the aircon - it's just stinking hot at the moment and the weather forecast for the next 7 days is very boring, it's 34, 34, 34, 34, 34, 34 and wait for it..... wait for it .... can you guess what it is? yes, it's 34. Wouldn't be so bad at just 34 if it wasn't the fact that it's so humid too, and even at 9pm it apparently feels like 36.8 - I would have said 36.7 but you can't argue with the weather experts
![]() Somebody from a different department shifted over to work with us today .... and she isn't quite the full shilling. One of our many odd conversations went along the lines of Her: "where does the bubble and squeak go?" Me : "Just along past the other veggies" Her: " I thought it would be with the fish" Me: "why? it's cabbage and potato" Her: "Because of the squid." I was non-plussed, felt I wasn't going to get out of further conversation with my brain intact so I wandered off. Now I'm wondering whether The Squid is some sort of evil overlord who is very insistent about the placement of Bubble and Squeak. .... and on that note, it's time for bed as I have an early start tomorrow. Night all, have a good day

Bubble and squid?
![]() It's Saturday night and we're staying in and it's brilliant. All the bats are home, there is wine and I'm going to cook something... nice. We also have a film about Nazi zombies to watch. Sounds perfect, right? Speaking of films, you all know that I'm a fan of Liam Neeson and loved his jumper in the first Taken film. Well, Taken 3 (Retaken Again?) is very much on the rubbish side with no jumpery highlights. Avoid! In fact I've seen so much rubbish at the cinema of late I'm thinking that if I'm going to watch crap I might as well do it in the comfort of my own home. Which brings me back to the Nazi zombies... |

Batty, you need to see Paddington. Immediately!
And Big Hero Six when it comes out. Freezy cold today, no snow but lots of frost flowers. Been taking photos and eating a long slow breakfast. Fabby. ![]() Have a lovely day, grumpies! |

Hi looney looney
![]() Bats, Van Helsing is on telly. Schlock horror I can watch again and again and I don't mean just for Kate Beckinsale and half the cast having meerkat accents.
