Sad, you're a fantastic friend and I know how much you'll be appreciated in Turkey. (((you)))
I'm hoping for a better day than yesterday - most of that was spent on the phone, on hold. Grrrr... |

Have had the most awful cold ***expects man flu comments *** sneezing about half a pint every time (OK slight exaggeration) seriously wobbly shivering and coughing incessantly.

Hey all
We're ok. Cyclones were to the North and to the South of us but didn't affect us at all - thank God. Fingers crossed we make it to the end of the season without being bothered by one! Work is being awful, so no change there really. Struggling to find somewhere to live but my friend is being awesome about it as always. YoungPlum is loving High School apart from her English teacher whom she detests - so that sounds quite normal and reasonable So far she has lost 2 sports hats (both have been located now but it cost me an extra £15 for the second one), headphones for her laptop (which is compulsory), her English reading book and today she lost her formal school hat which costs about £45/£50 to replace. I despair, she has only been there 4 weeks! I was comparing notes with one of my pals at work whose daughter has just gone to another High School and she is acquiring a similarly long and expensive list! Children are horrible! DestructoPup is being strangely well behaved. We're worried Calm before the storm and all that ..... I'm reading 1000 Years of Annoying the French ce qui est un livre marveilleux! Considering it's esssentially a history book, It's giving me plenty of giggles at smoko at work. KJ - hope you're on the mend now. Colds are totally shitty things and should be abolished, that would certainly be on my manifesto! Seems a real vote winner. Hope everyone has a great Monday - mine was not, but at least I have tomorrow off! I do like Tuesdays now - the best day of the week for me! |

Thanks for concern about the cold, it was grim. There's something nice about being in others' thoughts. Incidentally I confirmed with a fellow sufferer that it comes with a free crash diet (at least two flushes)

Glad your feeling better KJ
I have tried to keep the cabin up to your standard whilst you have been away, cupboards, fridge, drinks cabinet, wood storage all full so should not need much for a few weeks, blankets in the box and I have sent word out next one to arrive to bring the milk and cake. |

I've somehow managed to catch your cold KJ.
I'd love to make the best of it and go to bed with a book, but it's a busy week, so I'm forced to spread my germs.Sad - yup, it got done, just. As always.

BG, my May Babies girly chum has had it, like you she is no softie. Srsly, take at least one duvet day. If only for avoiding the shame of the nuclear bowel spasm.
