Well, I've almost always had a bike. Then I didn't have one for a while. And I got a new one yesterday.

So I'm back to normal!

Good morning Grumpy peeps everywhere.

I was about to watch the latest episode of Survivor and thought of Tally and decided to say hello to my other Grumpy friends 'cause you never know when it'll be too late.

Hey BG! Enjoy your new wheels! Mr. Home had two bicycles in our storage box. (My cycling days were well over before I moved to the land of cycling as a religion.) One was years old and beyond redemption and salvation but the keeper of many fond memories. There was also it's replacement but also out of order. We went to a wedding the other night (they got engaged in the wee hours of Monday night and had the wedding on Wednesday evening in the bicycle shop where they met while working there during career breaks) and a couple of our friends remarked that his best wedding/funerals/other special occasions shirt was ready to pop a couple of buttons. He got the bike repaired yesterday and is back on the road.

*waves back to Handy, Laura, Snowy and KJ*.

I'm about to bake some scones for a street tidy up/flower planting event (groendag) on my street tomorrow. My neighbours are all very lovely but I still can't speak very much Nederlandse yet. Almost all of them can speak English but they lapse into Dutch here and there and who can blame them. I just smile a lot which is not very GOW of me.

Ah thank you kind sir and as you know we have had a convo on face book and filled you in on my progressive disease. I was forced to buy an annuity so have to live another 19yrs to get my money back so I bloody well will But at least I got an enhanced annuity rate even if that was still a pittance.

Like Me@ said something like Tally makes you appreciate the wonderful GOW so going to be here more often (in between my silly FB games )

And the good news is my toe nail has come off and there is a nail underneath ! For those of you not in the know. I have had a toe nail infection since last October and getting bloody fed up of it and spent a fortune along the way! Just now waiting to see an NHS specialist and think this nail may have to come off too as still infected under the nail bed. Who knew how ruddy painful a little toe could cause one!! Hate to think what y kidneys are like after all the pill popping and a couple or more of the red stuff

Ta ta for now lovely GOW x

I find it hilarious that so many Dutch have two bikes. One old ramshackle that they use every day and the good one that they use going places they know it won't get nicked

Hmph! My neighbour locked himself out (again) at 9:15 so no lie in for me. He also locked himself at 12:30 last night.

I'll think of him as I whizz around on mine.

And I love the bike shop wedding. So cool.

Hello peeps. What a lovely sunny day.

Here youngest and OH had a soup making competition which I got to judge - yummy.

Downside is the state of the kitchen - messy cookers!

Hope the party was better than you expected, LL. I have been to many in-law events that sounded similar -it can be very wearing smiling at the ignorants - rise above it x

Aw Snowy. (((((((((Snowbes)))))))) Mega hugs. He'll be home before you know it - is this the final year? Felt like a lifetime when mine were away and now feels like they never went both back home full time since last May/June. Happy to loan you one of them... xxx

Ah Snowy am not surprised under the circumstances . He's a fine young man and you should be very proud. Before you know it the long summer holidays will be here and he will be under your feet with smelly feet once more (Don't all boys have smelly feet!!)

Took mum to the animal shelter today. After 6 years I am finally ready to replace my beloved cats. Almost brought home two 6 month black kittens but by the time I had got to the desk they were taken. Now seen a couple up north so will ring them tomorrow. Apparently they can bring them down to my local shelter . One of them looks an evil bugger and the other one angelic but they are my sort of cats . Watch this space

Oh I do hope you get those cats twingle. The house seems forever empty to me without an animal or two in it. I'd love a pet. Unfortunately our lifestyle at the moment is too hectic - last year the longest I spent in any one place was four days.

Blimey Bats that's some travelling. I was like that a bit the first couple of years here and Thalia was in a spica cast (born with clicky hip) so was buzzing over to Holland a lot. I can no longer leave mum on her own here so am a bit more restricted and my toe nail infection has kept me grounded too!

Thalia had a check up last week and good news she doesn't need more surgery just more physio and lots of exercise

Good morning GOW dull day here sad to say am pleased as hot days affect me now

Morning, guys!

Quiet weekend here, though we are currently short one cat and I'm wondering where he's got to... probably gone for a nap in someone's shed and got shut in, but it's always a worry till they show up.

((((((((snowy))))))) - it's bound to be hard and you're doing brilliantly. Cry if you feel you need to and keep on keeping on, my pet. Sending you tons of hugs and vibes.

Good luck with the kitty-hunt, twingle. Our three are rapscallions but we love them!

(((((((busy busy batty)))))))

Today is park, making a stew for tea and a walk up to see the baby lambs before they all get big and sheep-y.
See you later, chaps - have a good one!
