Evening all from a feeling very sorry for self Twingle! Toe is louping but to be expected . She froze it then started digging and under nail is full of pus and infection so more antibiotics and nail to come off next week to find out what is causing it. Of course my hypochondriac mind is going into overdrive now
She did say it could be something very simple like a tiny bit of nail embedded itself.Me shout if you want anything posted over. I now can empathise as have allergies all over the place. I can't wear bracelets anymore as come up in red rash and tried every metal except gold which have never worn since I was married. I can't cope with smelly candles and some perfumes and strong smells . I guess it is the inhaled steroids that has changed my body make up. Judging by the pictures Eindhoven had the usual King's day celebrations so maybe it was just the dam that has toned it down. Ty for advice re pc and once feeling better will have a look and see what you and Laura can sort me out between you Hope everyone has a good night's sleep. and no more sickness for Melony . That is good advice re sheets and one I practiced too. Mind you if ex wasn't travelling he had to sort out the sickness as was useless. I always gagged too. I couldn't have been a nurse for anything Night all and sweet dreams *mwah* |

I'm still alive and I think brain may have fared Ok as well. The painful sneezing has stopped by the snot have upped their production and now I have itchy, painful ears. The chills came back with a vengeance a couple of hours ago and I'm slightly hurt but too sick to say anything but I think Mr. Home lost his empathy in the King's Day crowds.
Now if my feet would just warm up. Meds are onboard so should probably shut down the laptop before I say something that I didn't know I did. Twingle weren't we going to do a face serum/swap for sudafed? I made a new batch last week so will get it off to you. How's that.? Are you amenable to these terms? ![]() Spare a thought to my poor son who has been on tenterhooks after putting his first ever bid on a house at 10,000 over the asking price. He's been waiting for more than a week for a response bt at least it wasn' t rejected outright like some from other bidders have. Ok. This typo correcting is becoming difficult and I don't think I got them all but this is the best you're getting from me tonight. Good night lovely ladies (and KJ). Sleep well. ![]() PS: Twingle I'm meaning to ask: did you soak your toe in Epsom Salt? Probably a stupid question but trying to do a little trouble shooting on my own. |

Bat Safe journey and hope the trip isn't too stressful and your cake comes through without being tipped up
![]() Yes, I'm already planning how to bring it back in one piece. I even considered checking my bag in and carrying the cake as my piece of hand luggage. It really is the best cake in the world. ![]() me@ - yes, I'm in sunny Poland. ![]() The meeting yesterday went well so although I'll be going back home tasked with finding and providing more paperwork, I think it will be worth it in the end. And I was very happy to find that my 'city bike' registration is still working. It really is a fantastic system with really good quality bikes available at 'bike stations' all over the city, so I spent about an hour and a half yesterday cycling away between appointments, getting my de-stressing exercise AND exploring bits of Warsaw I either never knew or have long forgotten. I found a riding school minutes from my place, so as soon as time allows I'll be adding riding to my Warsaw activities. Today should be a slower day - a bit of work (only a bit!), visit to a hospitalized friend, and then a 4DX cinema trip to see Fast and Furious. Apparently it's the kind of film 4DX is made for... And I'm thinking that I might not survive it in one piece. The special effects can get quite lively! Amica - ![]() Healing vibes being sent for poorly toes, snotty noses and anything else that needs perking up. Xxx |

Me@ the swap sounds like a done deal
Yes done the salt soaking and the coconut oil, manuka honey, tea tree oil. You name it I have tried it but of course if it is all under nail then nothing touched it . It is still louping and discovered nurofen is the cause of my big fat red lips So on the cocodomel which drugs me up and hate the unc ontrol feeling at night. Anyway enough about me ![]() Bats the bike thing sounds like a great idea. Is Poland flat like Holland? Kids go hysterical here when we go up and down a hill in the car. New experience for them and of course we do the whoosh thing ![]() Glad Melony is better and Amica there's always tomorrow Daughter and son in law are doing mindfulness and every day is a happy day sheesh!! Have had a look at the free mobile app and agree with the principle just not got round to enjoying every moment of life yet Anyway if you have a bad day you appreciate the good ones even betterHugs to all and sorry I don't mention everyone by name BUT the hugs is for every gow near and far grumpy or not? Where is Jessca these days? |

No grumpy post but happy happy. Ollie and Oscar are coming down from Inverness and will be with us next week. I am like a kid in a sweet shop but also feel guilty replacing my beloved Max and Lucie . Is that normal ?
Now for a mountain to climb to move the shoes from utility for cat stuff and to move it into cupboard. But first need to clear out Mum's crafting stuff from said cupboard . I can see Looney going ![]() already but she no longer uses it as her hands aren't steady . Anyway it won't be till the week-end if toe allows *mwah* |

Happy Hump Day!
I hope you're feeling better soon Laura. Sorry to hear about your setback. ![]() BG: You live such an active and exciting international life. Wow! I don't know how you do it. Glad that you got a chance to do some cycling and exploring in your home town. ![]() Amica: has your unspecified grump from last night come to a head yet or got a name? Breathe in deep and slowly exhale. Then go for the wine. ![]() Twingle: That mindfulness stuff at times reminds me a bit of Pollyana-ism repackaged. Optimism is a GOW challenge. Yay for the kitties. I'm still feeling like crap and I'm not sure but I think I'm over the hump of it. I haven't had to take as much medications today and I have a bit more energy although I stayed in bed and watched tv for the whole morning into early afternoon. Still sneezing and congested. I hope to be able to face the outside world before the week is up. I don't have the energy to brush my hair though and am contemplating a post sickness haircut. It's all getting too much. I still can't figure out if it's a flu or and allergy flare-up. TTFN

New experience for them and of course we do the whoosh thing ![]() ![]() Poland's got all sorts - it's quite big and there's a gorgeous coastline, flat bits to the east, mountains to the south, a fairly wild lake district and Europe's last primeval forest on the Russian border where bison still roam. http://www.seatbeltguitar.com/27-rea...r-visit-poland I need to get myself a job with their tourist board. ![]() me@ - the truth is I just get to be busy and stressed in various locations. Sad's been a witness to quite a few of my travelling escapades - including almost getting arrested for breaking and entering - so can vouch for that. twingle - I can't wait to see some pictures of the kitties. Love the names. Amica - did the world survive? LL - an important point to prove. And I hope you're feeling a bit better. (((LL))) Ah... a brass band has just fired up in the neighbourhood. A practice for tomorrow's parades no doubt. One of those water guns would come in handy right now... |

Hugs to all who need them.
I have been even grumpier today due to lack of sleep which was due to stressing about stuff. Can't wait for Friday. Is it the election soon? Getting fed up of hearing so much from these politicians. Whatever happened to the Monster Raving Loony Party. I want to vote for them this time... |

Hugs to you, too Amica. Sounds like you need them.
![]() Continuing to recuperate. A sure sign of this is that I 'ave a grump. Call me heartless, cold, etc. but I'm getting donor fatigue. The Daily Mail (for my sins I still read it) keeps running sob stories of people that seem to have a crowd funding site listed at the end of their very, very sad stories. There was one woman who only has a short time on this earth and wants to marry before her departure. But she wants us to give her 16,000 GBP to do so and time's running out. Sorry for that but ( I really am) but my own wedding cost us less than €500 (and there were only 2 people there) and we have memories to cherish from it. I'm sorry but why are people demanding that I contribute to their dreams when I've had to scrimp on my own? There are about 5 stories of this vein running right now. Yes I know there are tragedies and devastation but I'm losing my ability to empathise with all this pity invoking overload. I partly blame the family of someone who can't be named who was never seen again in a sunny part of Europa for all these "fund our cause"websites because of their great success in raising the dosh. Sorry, sorry, sorry folks but my heart has to turned to cold, hard stone when I read the DM from now on. *exhaling* ps: I've contributed to the earthquake fund. |

Good for you Snowy for going to the gym.
I found jogging was my best head clearing exercise. I wish I could still do that but grateful that I can still walk (somewhat).

Me @ you,ve contributed the earth quake fund so you are ok in my book, I do actually agree with you about the crowd funding. Maybe I should do one for my pension overpayment which the bastards (2 yrs later) want back
Apparently if I had spent it I wouldn't have to but because I didn't well have to pay. There's a Vivian Nichols moral in there ........spend spend spend!![]() Cats coming tomorrow, (a week early eek) so excited but sad as got all the cat stuff out and brought back sad and happy memories . I still need to buy a bed, food and litter and maybe a scratching post toy thing but then none of my cats every looked at those things although they were outside cats so no long claws. I had the night from hell last night with my toe GP has given me tramodil which shall only take if necessary. However load of pus came out today and seems to have eased it. Melon was it a toe nail infection Mr Melon had? I cannot believe the pain from a small toe . I bought the Epsom salts today but says not to use if having surgery soon so decided not to soak in it as that would be where the anaesthetic would be going in. Bats You should indeed work for the polish tourist board and I never knew that there was even one hill in Holland so maybe throw in Holland as well ![]() Laura hope you feeling a bit better today? How's the wound Ok need to say something embarrassing , Snowy and Sad I get you two mixed up in here and of course I know who you both are on FB ? I need to do some NLP . No need for names but please give me a hint xx Night everyone and hope everyone sleeps well xx |
