Scene of many a soul destroying meeting.
Lol I can imagine and if there were lots of Dutch there then it would have to be all done by the book and write ups in triplicate

How you doing KJ ? We miss you when you not around which is hilarious when I have been MIA for several years :

I have to wait another week for cats as last vet check showed up wax in ear. I met them for the first time today and bubbled like a baby I fell in love with them at first sight of picture haha

The big one is going to be a feisty bugger . He shredded the vet's arms but she said it wasn't his fault as there were dogs barking in same room . The little one is a real timid frightened soul but am not put off and look forward to the challenge.

Hope everyone looking forward to the long week-end. It's the only time I miss working as feel like I miss out . I know no logic there

Laura hope you feeling better. How's the infection ? I have driven too much today with result toe nail really kicked off . Just taken two codeine but think it will be the tramadol tonight . I am so desperate for a whole night sleep (apart from loo visits which is normal at my age !

Mwah

Morning everyone from Sunny Glasgow

Bats get those gym sessions in and a bit of cycling then you can reward yourself with red wine ( good for you so I believe)

Ok Graphic coming up so ignore ! Told you had driven too much yesterday and discovered put wrong dressing which had stuck to the pus...........I was climbing the walls but soaked in water and it came off. Anyway after an hour of thinking about a and e trip and more codeine it settled down and had a full nights sleep in a week!!

Looks tons better this morning but I am going to sofa hop in between doing for my mum. It's bloody hard being a carer when you not fit but will get there in the end am sure.

Hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday week end and if you are interested it looks like we are getting a new prince or princess

LOL at the euros. You try buying a ticket from Shilpol airport . Doesn't take foreign credit cards and doesn't like euros either . So have to queue up at the desk for the station I want but have to know where am going coz it doesn't mention my station just the end of the line! Think it's getting better now but yrs ago no where took foreign credit or bank cards . I am told the Dutch banking system is specifically for Dutch banks and will cost a fortune to update to be inline with Europe . But I can live with that because their trains are awesome apart from when you get on the wrong train eh Theresa

It's just such a wonderful place name - every country should have one.

That stupid train, those damn ticket machines, the unreliable train service, changing at some well dodgy station, ... Schiphol is nice though.

I was in Germany on Thursday. They know how to run trains, decent sit down tables in the dining car with service, beer, affordable.

The weather is horrible. We had plans to go for a massive walk in the woods but our enthusiasm is fading fast. Might just slob instead.

Penistone is lovely - God's own country is Yorkshire.

Little less grumpy today - but then, it is Sunday and I'm not at work

The weather here is crappy today too. Just as well since I need to rest after doing way too much yesterday. I was so happy to feel better and wanted to make up for the days I was out of commission. Today is definitely a Netflix kind of day.

Get well soon vibes to everyone who needs them.

^^^^^ (((((snowy))))

Hi, grumpies, sorry for the MIA again!

Insane end to last week, with Youth Club on Thursday and Melony at a birthday party on Friday after school and Mr Melon really in a bad way with his IBS - he looked dog-rough on Friday night! We've all been resting it off across the weekend!

Got up about half seven today, made a cuppa, fed the cats, went back to bed! Been back up since nine, though, and got a good start on tackling the washing-up mountain, the clothes mountain and the dihwasher backlog. Bit of a break then I need to start on paperwork pile.. *sigh*

twingle, Mr M had an ingrown toenail which gave him hell for about a year and then when he had it removed that got infected (ow,ow,ow,ow,ow). He was off work for weeks! Be careful with the driving; we were told that if he'd had an accident and had got out of the car with a big dressing on his foot he's have invalidated his insurance...

laura, hope you are feeling better. Rubbish when you have something dragging you down

Amica, you can vent in safety here, you know...

Hugs all round, sun shining today. Hope you all have a good one...

To say things are going from bad to worse is an understatement but we shall keep plodding. Handy has oh tried a gluten free diet? Might be worth a try.

Love and hugs grumpies.

Oh, South London is wonderful ... (and rude)

I've been to a wedding. Cried quite a bit but I think I got away with it. The two KJettes drank my wallet and filled it with debit card receipts. I stuck to beer and paid at the bar rather than indulge the generous free wine, so Mrs KJ knows I'm a principled drinker. At midnight one of the groom's mates buys a round, I get a pint and a whisky - I ask the younger MsKJ if she could help Dad and she downs it in one. Crikey.

KJ, glad the wedding went well, better start saving for when your daughter's comes round or give them a ladder or a road mad to Gretna

Ah Laura, thinking about you loads and miss you online . Get well soon and hope nothing develops further

Handy, ty for all the advice today re toe nail, much appreciated and I have been told the red cross has a service for just this occasion . I know am going to have problems with mum but I will win. She had the sides of her nail removed years ago and keeps telling me it will be a doddle and back walking on it the next day. I don't think she realises this infected nail is different from abrasions on side of feet.

Bats slobby is good but not too slobby , think of the BP

Me@ hope you feeling better , can you pm those sinus thing again (either here or FB or by text) and will get them off before toe nail op

*waves* to Snowy and Amica

Hope you've all had fab BH. Went to see the cats and they let us stroke them so maybe they will settle quicker than first thought but now they have the runs ( 3 attempts at diarhea and gave up!) which they think is just stress as they are still being housed next to the kennels with dogs barking constantly . Half an hour in there and I was going mad . Fingers crossed they are fit for the week end. Their room is all ready and I bought a tunnel for them. Opened box which said no assembly required, pulled off the string and it flew into my face. I almost died of shock Mum said my face was hilarious !

Poor grandkids will be getting less spent on them and the money going towards my boys Psst Don't tell daughter , don't think she's be happy. I did think about texting son to say if he doesn't start returning my texts .His half of my will is going to the cats He was over at Easter and so grown up and lovely and promised to phone every week . Boys honestly

Have good night and hope work (for those who do) isn't too bad tomorrow xx

Greetings from a very windy Amsterdam. I had to go to the pharmacy to pick up my allergy pills and nearly got blown off my feet. Of course it happened just as I was walking over a bike path and nearly got hit by the cyclist because I couldn't move in the direction I wanted to go in and instead went were with wind wanted me to go. After all of that struggling I got to the pharmacy and find that it's closed today for no explained reason.

My son has finally heard from the realtors about the house he put in an offer for nearly 2 weeks ago and it's been accepted! It was the first house he viewed and put an offer on. It's a big old house with lots of potential.

I've been a bit low in energy the past couple of days and this morning when I thought I would have a lie in my neighbour rang the bell to get let in. It's been almost three weeks since he bothered me last. He never did give me back the key and hardly speaks to me when I see him and I got the feeling that he was pissed off with me. He's looking even more dirtier and raggedy and I hear him when he's sitting out in his garden ranting to himself. Mr. Home hadn't left for work so he let him in but I told him that I'm going to ignore the bell if he rings again today. It was so nice to have my days uninterrupted by trips downstairs to unlock doors and to go out without worrying if he would need letting in while I was out.

How much longer till the toe op Twingle? I'm sure you'll be glad when it's all over and you can enjoy life again.

How was the concert Snowy? I applaud you for going alone and I hope you had a fantastic time. (thumbs up smiley needed)

Laura: I hope you're feeling better.

Hugs to all the Grumpies.
