And it's a lovely sunny day again so I'm trying to smile too.

Work is ars******* so I took the plunge and went to see the Plymouth Brethren school. It was really lovely and not what I expected. I was just sitting there thinking what's not to like when they said it was only a temporary post. Then I wanted it even more. Will have to keep looking then...

The play is progressing so slowly but the "women dressed as men" are having far too much fun and are going to be a hoot. They are not at all intimidated by wearing dresses and stuffing them with balloons. Must be a man thing! Just wish the dialogue was as good.

Oh well, will keep on keeping on. Hugs and vibes to all ~~~

Evening all

Plummie I gather from your post or lack of mention that no new apartment yet . I will keep my fingers and toes crossed.......well 9 toes! This time tomorrow the nail will be off and we can find out what is causing the infection which is up in full flare tonight Hope she freezes before sticking in needles

Amica hope something permanent turns up soon but would it be worth taking the temp post if you were offered it . ? Temp often turns into permanent . Do you know why it is temp? As in mat cover or budget restraints?

Me@ glad you are doing ok at moment and managing to beautify your surroundings . Once toe sorted I am going to try and get over to inspect!

The cats are keeping me on my toes. Little one spits and hisses at me yet follows me down the stairs keeping a good distance between us and if he gets too close spits and hisses and runs Black one seems more docile but still not managed to pick them up but it will happen am sure . We were out the other day and forgot to close my lounge door and noticed cat indents in both sofas yet they were still under the chair bed when came in. Did make me smile . They must think they got one over on me

Hope Laura is doing ok and is back with us on this thread soon

Right off to be to worry about tomorrow But roll on this time tomorrow and it will be all over

It is thank you. I never want to go through a night like last night ever again! My own fault as was scared to take the tramadol (opium based) after reading horror stories and the co codomal just wasn't touching it. But it is loads easier tonight and debating on having a glass of wine or more co-codomal . Think the wine would give me a better night's sleep Oh and wine doesn't bung you up unlike the pills

Morning all!

My extra cover work at school has finished, so more time but less money! Time to hit the e-bay selling button again, methinks!

Twing, hope the toe is on the mend now. They really do hurt, I know, but hopefully as it heals up that will be that now. How are those skitty kitties?

KJ, you'll make Mr M cry if you keep this up! After nearly 30 years living in Hull he's taking the Tigers' failings very personally!

Hugs all round, with some extra vibes for poorly Laura

Morning all. Forgotten what it is like to be woken up at 6am by two yowling kitties wanting fed My old two were trained not to bother me before 8am The buggers still won't come near us except when they want food And had to clean up sick yesterday and still can't do it with out my boking reflex coming into play They are having great fun running up and down the three flights of stairs. Goodness knows what neighbour thinks as sounds like a herd of elephants

Toe not as painful but still sore. Guess am expecting too much in such a short space of time. Toe still swollen and red so have antis to start but holding off as have been on them almost all winter

It has rained solid here for 4 whole days and I have now had enough! When the time is right I am going to sell up and go and live somewhere warm (and where property is cheap!!)Not much choice I suppose!

Melon I really must get my ebay account sorted and start selling stuff . I have some really good handbags that could do with someone else using them instead of stuffed in a cupboard

Hope you all have a lovely Tuesday *mwah*

Afternoon/evening all

Well, just when I think things can only get better as the song says.... life decides to intervene and mess with my head and life gets worse. Had a bit of a meltdown at work afterwards but boss is being really good about it all - it's not work related but I was on a split shift when drama arose, so went back still full of woe! Going all out to get another place within the next week or so - saw a house today which was so grotty I'm convinced that the source of bubonic plague lurked in the bathroom/toilet. Looking at 3 more tomorrow, I don't hold out much hope as rental property is in such high demand that there are huge numbers turning up for viewings. I really have no idea what we're going to do if we can't find somewhere imminently. Been spying out the local park benches ... it seems we have a choice ... some you'll get pooped on by pigeons, some by bats (no offence to our resident Bat ) ... and others you'll get robbed or mudered on. Just a matter of choosing the lesser evil ... I'm thinking pigeon crap is best... batcrap tends to be more toxic/disease ridden (no offence) .... i can't afford to have anything stolen and being murdered just seems like no fun for anyone and may prove somewhat fatal - so definitely Pigeon-Poop bench for me!

Keep the positive vibes coming this way ... I think they may have been delayed en route due to poor weather ... or the wrong kind of snow or something.

Whilst claiming or positively demanding vibes from you lot... I'll send some back to you all, in particular to the lovely Laura and twingle-toes! If I ever do get a rental place sorted you can come and visit me, it's never properly cold here, although we do of course gwumble, as one must, about the "cold" nights.

Sorry for being a moaning minnie again - one of these days I'll get back to being a laid back cheery person that I once was ... many many many moons ago probably when dinosaurs still roamed the land in the days of black and white!

Lovely looney Laura great to see you back now please just take your time and get better. How's Mr Looney? Hope he is all mended too and can look after you x

KJ so glad your team won (whichever team that was) I bet they knew it was your birthday so went all out.

(((((Plummie))))) I just wish I was very very very rich and could buy you a place in Aussie. It would be just grand to be able to do that for all my friends in need but the reality is I think my family would have me poor before I could give it away Although Master Twingle did arrive at Easter with last years's birthday and xmas present . Me thinks the lad has finally grown up .And about time too he is almost 30!!!

Hugs to Amica, Me, Snowy , Melons ,Bats and Sad and anyone else have forgotten

PS toe improving every day

Dearest KJ
Melony loves seeing you pop up on Book of the Face

Twingle, as he says above KJ is a Crystal Palace supporter. They have done a bit better than Hull this year!
Glad toe feels better

*waves at laura*

Right. Today is a day for Doing Stuff. I've got a haircut booked, I need to ring the school where i worked last week and see if my cheque is written so I can go and snatch it out of their fingers (they don't like paying up!), I've got a kitchen like a swamp to sort out and a load of toys and clothes to get onto e-bay. Busy busy Handy!

Hugs all round ((((((((((((((((GoW))))))))))))))))))))

Thanks for the hugs and good wishes and stuff. You're all lovely

Had a couple of very busy days phoning real estate people and inspecting houses. - it's mad today as I'm working a split shift - so i'll have been on the go from 7 this morning through til 11 pm tonight. Put another 4 applications in ... 2 houses are really good, one is OK and one I hate. Have no choice as we need to be out of here pronto as whilst YoungPlum and I are still welcome, young DestructoPup has blotted her copy book and is no longer welcomed by my friend/landlady. She's going into care (boarding kennels) at the weekend... we're lucky to have been able to sort it out but it will cost me a fortune but you have to do what you have to do. She's a lovely dog and we're going to miss her big style but hopefully it will only be for a week or two before we get her back and she will be back. That's why I was so upset the other day, but I was too sad to even write about it - going to be hell on Saturday/Sunday when we take her there. I know it's not forever, and that's all that's keeping me sane and why there is a real urgency in finding a place within the next few days.

Keep your fingers crossed for us! Eeep time for me to dash back to work now - oh woe!!

Happy Hump Day!

Great to see you back again Laura and I hope that you continue to get better. You can think of us whenever you have your cup of PG now.

Yay for improving Twingle Toe. Maybe you'll be able to get over here soon.

Everything crossed for Plummie finding a place to live ASAP. I can understand the stress you're feeling. (((Plum and Young Plum))

Handy I hope that you're in the middle of a very productive day. I may need some Ebay selling tips from you. I've got quite a collection of too good to throw out stuff that's gonna need it's own room soon.

It's been fairly peaceful and calm here lately. Mr. Home has a sinus/gum infection but is taking it in stride. He's only missed one day of work and today and tomorrow are our "weekend"anyway. He'll have to refrain from the beer when he goes to Chess Club tonight though since he's on the ABs'.

The weather has been a bit up and down and lots of windy spells. The rain is good for the garden though and I can see all sorts of stuff sprouting where I planted seeds. Some of the seeds seem to have shifted slightly from where I planted them though so there seems to be an overlap of two or three different herbs growing in the same spot. Otherwise everything else is rosy in my metaphorical garden. My son could be in his new house by July and he's enlisted me to help him with designing his garden and has said that I can be as impractical as I want to be.

I'm getting the urge to bake some bread today among other things but the reality is that I haven't even made the bed or got dressed yet. Must get my skates on or have another cup of coffee........

Big hugs to each and everyone of you and enjoy your day.

ps. The window cleaner just showed up so just as well that I had the curtains still closed in the front.
