Hey, 'ull got 6 points off Palace and an away ticket from me and I got a day out to see Melony, lest anyone think I'm the bad guy.
![]() ![]() Plummy - loads of house hunting vibes. Having to part with DestructorPup will be 'orrible. ![]() And healing vibes for all the poorly bits in GOW land. Me, I'm knackered. But onwards and upwards.

Visit KJ Towers! Actually maybe a really bad idea 'cos MrsKJ would have kittens due to ongoing redecoration upheaval ... but we could meet up between London and Br*ght*n. Ditto Sad who got very close indeed.

I'm collecting a mate from Gatwick again next week but won't be able to stop - if it had been a late afternoon/early evening flight we could have made a day of it but it's not :/
We really do need to get together sometime though ![]() Sad apologises for life-inflicted absence. So far this week I have been to London (once) Hatfield (twice) and today's not shaping up to be any gentler. Nothing at all in the diary for tomorrow. I might sleep. LL - so pleased you're home already and hope that's a positive sign - vibes continue to work their way towards you and yours. Plummie - homefinding vibes also headed right atcha - gutted for you re the Pup, it's horrible when other people can't tolerate your pets. I really hope you have your own place before the week is out. HM - ooooh I feel your pain re the cheque. Schools are the worst at paying up for services rendered. Currently waiting on a payment myself that's the difference between clearing my credit card or having a massive overdraft this month, neither of which should be happening but the payment is so overdue that I could end up blotting a fab credit history on the strength of it. It's maddening.BG - SLOW DOWN. that is all ![]() Everyone else - will try to pop in more often but when I am not here you are all in my thoughts and my vibes are a given (though possibly somewhat ineffectual due to lack of sleep) ![]() (((((((((((((((((GOW)))))))))))))))) |

Sad,I worked in Hatfield for 6 years (happiest place I ever worked but the pay was crap) Where did you go? I also had one job where I travelled a lot and it is pretty exhausting. Didn't help it was before sat navs and my sense of direction isn't too good. I was so bad I was too embarrassed to add my lost miles to my mileage claims
![]() Melon, know what you mean about kitchens . When I moved here it was all minimalistic nothing on work tops apart from kettle and microwave. Slowly it has crept up till almost every work surface covered which is a pain when baking not that I bake much these days . Next door's daughter returns for 4 month holiday next week and opened my mouth and let my guts come out and now baking her a reece cup cake cheesecake .Recipe (to my no baking days now days) looks bloody complicated but am sure I will manage and hope toe is better in 2 weeks. TY to you andMr Melon for your help and advice It's kicked off again and was really worried had nail off for nothing but think is just an infection and over doing it. I really can't keep off my feet with mum . I have been going to bed every afternoon but last 2 mornings had to take her for hospital appointments . I feel like an old lady *sigh* and am bloody sure I look like one with the winter I have had Would love to join a meet up if possible. I loved our day in York and tea at Betty's . One of the nicest days ever . I told everyone was a school reunion as in my family internet meet up wouldn't have gone well . Trouble is a am a terrible liar as bad memory so the day in York has dropped me in it a fair few times ![]() Have good post hump day everyone xx |

Well for the first time in a while, I have some rather good news to impart! Woop woop- we have a house!!! Well, we wil have a house but our application has been approved, signing the paperwork next Tuesday with a view to getting the keys Friday/Saturday next week. This means that with good luck and a following wind, we might be able to keep DestructoPup here til we go. The strange thing is that they didn't even call any of my references to check up on me, as my friend/landlady said, I "won it on personality alone!" - god help them then!
I got the phone call at work this morning and made the poor guy tell me at least 4 times .... as I kept saying "what, really?" ... "are you sure?" ... "this isn't a joke, is it?" - I was and am soooooo very happy! Tired but happy, but at least perhaps I might start sleeping again! Last night I was that tired that when I was putting my dinner in the microwave, i put in my old bank pin number instead of the time! Suffice to say, my dinner would have been cooking for a VERY long time! YoungPlum is practically doing cartwheels because we'll have our own home and Destructo probably won't have to go away at all. Going to be an awful week between now and then as so much to do and very little time, I'm working all weekend so only have one day off between now and moving. Busy busy busy ... but it's all to the good! I'll have a spare room - that means that if ever any of you venture south you'd be able to stay chez moi! Not that you'd probably want to, as my life is in a permanent state of chaos ... but a sort of generally chilled but insane chaos until this house hunting malarkey started! Happy happy happy!! *yawn* zzzzzzzzz |

xxxI've wriggled out of the Gatwick run on Monday so have a relatively peaceful day today and on Monday - hence sitting here in pjs at lunchtime - in fairness been sat at my desk since 9am composing a Very Stroppy Letter on behalf of my eldest - now done and am going to have to get dressed to post it

Woop woop- we have a house!!!
That's happy news that I was hoping we would hear very soon. I hope that you're all in and settled very quickly and I look forward to tales of Destructo Pup's adventures in the new house. ![]() Nothing much here going on here. One of my next door neighbours has been wonderful and brought me a load of bricks to edge by borders with. He said he'd get me more which is even more wonderful because I didn't have the nerve to tell him that I needed more but I guess he can see that from his house. I very much appreciate it and have been giving Mr. Home a hard time about letting a man nearly ten years older than I am do all that hard work and he can't be arsed to bring me a couple from a renovation across the street. The same neighbour wants to stage a bit of a dramatic re-creation of my tripping over some very loose paving stones on the sidewalk in front of his house and my house. There's a huge tree whose roots are making the street look like camel humps and although I did trip once I never actually fell. (Thank goodness!) But he saw me the other day looking down on the ground as I walked up the street because I was so afraid of falling/tripping again. There have been a few other tripping and falling incidents by others and it's murder on the toddlers who are taking their first wobbly steps outside. One of our other neighbours is a tv producer/director of some drama series so he's going to film it all. I don't have to actually fall, they're going to use voices of people gasping in horror, saying "are you OK" (but in Dutch) to denote that but the shoot will begin with my being down on the ground with my crutch laying beside me. Mind you, I've let it be known that I'll need much help getting back up again. Here's hoping the council will like our production and repair our sidewalk. Anyway I'll love you and leave you all now because I must wash my hair tonight and beat it into submission so I look good for the filming tomorrow. Laters! |

The girlies have all read Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I hated Eng Lit at school, and romance isn't blokey, but that book is a fab critique of society. Give it a go, it's free on Google.

There are a few books that I've thought that I might really read one of these days and I'll add this one to it. It has an edge over the others if it's for free. Actually I remember giving mine away to the library in Derry when I made a major donation before I left. I'd moved around with it for 25+ years and across an ocean.

Ah! It was required reading for my first year at uni. Of course I read the Cliff (or Monarch) notes, got an A and don't recall a thing although I remember having to write a comparison paper of Bronte and Austen .

![]() Sorry to moan again but feeling crap. Chest bad as is toe and antibiotics don't seem to be kicking in or maybe they are the cause of making me feel crap. Tomorrow is another day and I must tip keyboard up side down and shake as space bar is sticking Me hope the film works and you get the pavements sorted . Hope it's better than up here in pot hole land which seems to be filled constantly and either it isn't done properly or it's the harsh weather Good night all and sleep well x |

I wish I could see the film me@.
Your neighbourhood sounds fab by the way... apart from the tree roots. I meant the people. From what you post, a real sense of a community comes across, which is lovely. Here, I'm determined to have a proper, long weekend. Batman was making noises about having some work he could do with finishing and I've got loads I could be doing too, but I think we've managed to talk ourselves out of it. The garden is looking horrible and will only get worse if we don't do something about it, so the plan now is to get out there and crack on with the most obvious stuff. And it's Eurovision tonight!!! No party to host or go to this year, but we're doing our traditional fondue and fully expect to be slightly pissed by the time the results are announced. Really looking forward to it.

Plummie, that's FANTASTIC !!!!!
*pants on head happidance* ![]() So pleased for you and YP and Pup. may this be the start of a new era for you all! ![]() twingle, am sending you get-well vibes and hoping that you soon start to feel loads better. It's horrible feeling poorly all the time and i really hope it improves soon. Regarding a get-together - we should plan one for the summer, if we can. it would be really nice to see everyone! Here, we are having a pretty good day, despite me starting it off by loosing a filling and having to go to the dentist to get patched up! We've been to see "Home" - very sweet and funny - and picked up some shopping, and sorted a day out to a vintage fair up in Driffield on Monday and a Granded day at Flamborough/Bempton later in the week - I love springtime!
