I'm just tired, grumpy and fed up. I blame the menopause...
![]() This too shall pass. On the plus side I have my health, roof over my head, lovely friends and family so nothing whatsoever to moan about really. Oooh, and a tidy office. Did I mention I'd been decluttering? I have a settee that I can use again *is proud* and it's almost looking organised in here for the first time in about three years ![]() Hugs to all grumpers, MIA or otherwise

Good morning LL.
![]() I've been up since about seven... but I'm not dressed yet. ![]() One of the dangers of working from home, innit, turning into a slob.

Thanks for all the happy thoughts coming my way! I'm still totally over the moon about it all! The last few days have been awful though - work is a nightmare and we had stock take Monday, so after having had a 5 am start on Sunday, had a 4 am start on Monday - I'm knackered!
Had the day off today to go and sign the lease - so it's all official now, the house is mine for 12 months from Saturday - woop woop! Found out that they didn't even check my work reference , I must have an honest face YoungPlum and I are working out a roster for our chair - I've remembered that I do have an ottoman that goes with the chair, so we can take it in turns to sit on each - we'll have to do a deal with Destructo to see if we can ever borrow her garden chair as we only have one of them as well, and it's hers. I do however now own a lovely new washing machine, a microwave and a toaster. I've got to pay my friend for the 2 beds that we are taking from her house and somehow try to find a second hand couch at a reasonable price as my savings are almost totally gone - it was bad timing that it coincides with motor insurance renewal - dammit! And I keep forgetting about the lawn mower, I need one of those abominable contraptions. I've made very little progress with my packing. I was meant to do lots today, but instead spent rather too long chatting with a nice chap. I'm so easily distracted from packing ... and the clock is ticking! I've packed my books and dvds now though and there is a stack of boxes towering over my bed - YoungPlum is a bit concerned that it will topple in the night and squish me but I told her that if it does, she can put "I told you so" on my gravestone, and that seemed to please her! Horrible child she is, I don't know where she gets it from. So because I was mainly ineffective today, it means that tomorrow i've got to make phone calls in my tea break - how rude! I really ought to get my act together, only 3 more nights before we're supposed to move and I have no-one sorted to actually move our stuff! looks like we might be camping between 2 houses for the first week! Anyway, that's all my news! |

So glad you've found somewhere, Plum. Happy moving.
I am allegedly on holiday but so far have done a residential, a day feeling rubbish and a day of report writing. Is it half term soon? Oh yes - this is it. Will have to go to work tomorrow too as I have left some stuff that I need in order to complete said reports which are due at the same time as our production after half term which is why I am trying to do them all now. No pressure. That's me finished whinging. Hope you're all having a better day. |

Afternoon grumpies . Lovely to see LL posting but don't you overdo it lady *wags stern finger*
Plummie so pleased about the new place now if we grumpies were round the corner ,everyone of us would be pitching in and am sure between us all we could find some not needed furniture . I have two pine coffee tables in garage from old house which I actually love and keep thinking they will do my next home but they probably wouldn't ![]() Just back from chiropodist , good news is no infection, bad news still lots of pus there under the dried blood ( I stupidly thought that was going to be the colour and was going to buy dried blood nail varnish to match) Dried blood doesn't want to come off so have to soak three times a day in salt water. Just sent the above to daughter by text who came back with oh thanks mum now have you got any other news. HA! Funny how kids like to dictate the subject matter . Amica,Handy any news on job fronts? Good luck to you both and Bats how is the BP? special mention to KJ, ME, sad and snowy. Just because and if I have left anyone out well blame my memory Good day to you one and all xx |

Glad toe getting better, twing. Keep on in there!
Happy Birfadee to lovely snowy - hugs and kisses to you (((((snowbes)))))) Sending get well vibes to Laura and soothing vibes to sad and the Bat I have been mostly sitting on my bum watching fillums with Mr M today as Melony has been at the childminders to give us all a break from each other! She has asked if he can wake her up in the mornings "because he's a lot calmer than you Mummy" ![]() All I can say is, ONE of us has to have a sense of urgency round here!
