Your sound properly grumpy LL. I'll send some 'break' vibes your way.
BP coming down twingle, thank you for asking. Mainly down to getting out on the bike rain or shine and having a slightly more chilled attitude to life. It's still not ideal but I don't expect it ever will be as I do get that horrible 'white coat syndrome' and I can't get my head around getting over it. But the GP is most impressed and basically told me to keep doing what I'm doing for now. Shame it's peeing down today... but no excuses - 10 miles will be cycled, at the very least. How are the kitties? |

Not sure whether it being Friday is a good thing for you or not LL... but TGIF here.
The Sad dog nearly met his maker yesterday. We were all braced for the word 'euthanise'. However... we took a chance on some surgery, and he's still with us. Hopefully more like his normal self although we've been told at least four days to get over the initial shock of the anaesthetic and pain, and probably nearer a month to return to 'normal'. All vibes gratefully received - poor old thing didn't want to get in his basket last night because that's how he travelled to the vet in the car and I think he thought he might be going back. Gawd knows how we'll manage the check up on Monday.Plummie - we want photos and updates Totally the best news ever that you are finally getting a place of your own and how great to have a 12 month lease too. Yay!Love and hugs to all other grumpies - sorry for being AWOL a lot - a lot going on, and the usual lack of hours in the day. DS had even signed me out

Sad, I do hope Sad-Dog recovers and has a little longer with you all. It's so hard when they're getting old - that balancing act between not wanting to lose them and not wanting them to suffer. Thoughts and good vibes are with you and him!
Batty, I'm impressed! I should take a leaf out of your book and excercise regularly but somehow i can always find something else to do instead! Laura, glad you feel more positive. Onwards... ![]() Today has been quite industrious at Melon Towers, trying to push forward with our decluttering. It's not a straightforward task with two very cluttery adults (and whatever Mr M says, he's much more aquisitive and cluttery than I am. It's just that I'm messier!) and a small child who resists anything being thrown away or sold, but I am determined this time that I'm pushing ahead and it's going to happen. Even Mr M has spent the afternon sorting through piles of magazines and putting stuff in the recycling. Hoorah! Sending out hugs and vibes wherever needed... ((((GoW))) |

Hello Grumpy Peeps!
I'm just checking and saying hi and that's about all. I've got a case of the "blahs" this week and also a sore shoulder so didn't accomplish much. It was good to see that most of you had a more productive week than I did. Healing/get well/good luck moving/positive energy vibes to all who need them.

Sad dog is back on tramadol today and things are not looking great. Guess I spoke too soon - vibes would be great but think I have to face the inevitable.
So yeah... pretty rubbish weekend, basically. (((((((GOW)))))) |

Cheers LL. Insomnia rocking my world a bit too. Not helped by the dog pacing up and down in a tramadol enduced trance. It would be comical if it wasn't so sad.

Awww really sorry to read about SadDog ... will be keeping our fingers crossed here that he bounces back - bless him.
Our DestructoPup is loving life at the moment, we moved into our new home yesterday - kind of anyway ... it'a all a bit chaotic as I expected. Tomato Boxes are currently being our multipurpose furniture. We bought a couple of beanbags yesterday so that we don't have to sit on the floor .... and now we have beans rolling around the tiled floors being sent every which direction by the fan ... and I keep forgetting to bring a dustpan and brush over with me on our many trips back and forth! House is really quite big - my bedroom is HUGE ... when i eventually get my bed over it's going to look dwarfed by the room. Going to be strange not having my bookcases and piano in there too, but we need something to go in the lounge/dining room. A dose of karma got me this morning, DP hadn't stolen anything for an hour or so, so I saw one of YoungPlum's shoes on the floor in her room, so I grabbed it and ran off just to amuse her ... only to find my shoes in the middle of the lawn where the stealth dog had already got them! She took off with my phone yesterday - being an indoor/outdoor dog is going to have it's downsides .... the upside is that it's been a long time since I've seen her look this consistently happy. I've got to go and try and find my work uniform and when i've found it - i need to find the iron ... I know where the ironing board is because I just had to buy one ... how unpleasant is that, spending money on something that is a symbol of the evil overlord of all unpleasant tasks. Belated Happy Birthday to you snowy - hope you had a great day! Hugs and stuff to all the grumpygits

I've spent the day curled up with the sodding creature. Animals... why do we do it to ourselves?
Anyway I'm still not convinced he's at death's door, he's still eating and drinking, albeit very gingerly. Hasn't seemed in pain today so I've not yet given him more tramadol (last had it at 9am, should have had more around five but I really don't want to give it if he doesn't need it). Got bugger all work done this weekend though - it's a good job I love him. Thanks for the vibes and hugs. Hope all is well out there in grumpsville. Plummie - we want photos. You really should get facebook xx
