And on a side note, where's our KJ?
Thanks (again) for missing me.

TBH the PD is starting to bite and I'm a little bit glum.

The meds make me oscillate between obsession and not being able to focus, and (look away now) the effect on my guts is enough to leave a Sequoia log that I have to (uuurgh) break up manually. Which is better than the paintball splatter of the other brand meds.

I'm getting clumsy too. My limbs have a mind of their own, navigating crowds and crowded areas is hard work. My mouth fills with saliva so I'm slow to answer, and my voice slurs.

Thank f-ck for Palace and grumpies.

Little Saddette is now on crutches after four hours in A&E today so I don't think any bedroom tidying is imminent. LL - we should swap photos and compare.

Good to have you back KJ - you know you can rant here whatever life is chucking at you and I hope things settle down for you with the PD. I don't know enough about it to know how it's likely to go but have everything crossed for you anyway.

Now, all we need is Goshie to show her face and a few other old grumpers to crawl out of the woodwork.... we could have an early birthday party for Handy's big day tomorrow

I'm off to console the sobbing one who is having to miss her cheerleading this week and is already foreseeing that her coaching role might be going down the pan

Morning, Grumps!

Sending sympathy waves to all those of you with messy big kids at home. We may have done things arse-backwards bu at least mine is still little enough to **have** to do as I say!

KJ, huge huggles. We love you loads. And as a fellow internal-organs sufferer (except mine is the hysterectomy scarring and the endometriosis) you have my total sympathy! The GP set me up with some stuff with the unfortunate name of Laxido, which tastes like orange-flavoured piss but softens up the productions so that they flush away... might be worth investigating...

Bettys - mid to late August is pretty free here. If we went for a Thursday or Friday Mr M could look after Melony for me... one of you bust peeps PM the rest of us and let us know when you can amke it! *looks at Batty and Sad*

And today is my 47th birfadee, so I am slobbing about in my PJs and eating, then going out for afternoon tea to eat more. Hooray!!!

Very happy to be in the safe haven of GOWland after the day I had yesterday. I had a double dose of neighbour drama. Those of you on FB can read all about it there. I'm too tired to tell the stories again. I'm totally drained and "empty", went to bed early last night, slept until 11 and feeling like I want a few more hours of sleep.

Happy Birthday to to HM!

KJ: Sorry to hear that your PD is being such a PITA moment. Although I also have a progressive chronic illness it's not whipping my ass quite as badly (so far) as yours is so I understand how you're feeling to an extent but will count my blessings as I read of your struggle. Hang in there, you have your family and friends and us to vent and rant to and I'll have strength and courage vibes on a loop to you. (((((KJ)))))

Biz! How nice to see you? Are you still on DS somewhere else these days? Hope all is well with you.

SP: Sorry for Sadette's current injury. I hope she heals quickly and that her coaching job is still there for her. I guess the "crack the whip" time needs to be postponed and she's on a reprieve.

Hi to anyone not especially mentioned.

I'm off to do absolutely nothing now. It's pissing down on and off so I'll be doing nothing indoors. I sense a long Netflix session coming on and ordering in for dinner.

Having a major grumpy period at the mo. If it wasn't enough moving house and living on a building site I've been plagued by strange phone calls. Yesterday an elderly lady called asking for Fred. Assured her no Fred here. Plus the previous occupier was called Brian. Then I got another call - and another and another and ...... I tried to feel charitable. Maybe she was suffering from dementia. Then there was a lull then off it went again. This time it was the police asking about Fred! Did they think I had done him in and stuffed him in a suitcase? Then there were some missed number withheld calls then another person asking about Fred on behalf of the first lady!! We eventually sussed that as I had just moved in and had a line installed the number possibly used to belong to Fred but had been reassigned.
Today I got a call for Sally and ended up shouting down the line to the no doubt surprised caller that there was NO SALLY AND NO FRED!

Hope you've had a better day today me@.

No I haven't been around for a while, and seem to have lost the ability to multi-quote.

All is well thank you except that I'm older and grumpier, mais c'est la vie.

Hello Grumpies, hope you are all having a good day,my kitchen is being fitted at last, hooray.

Thank you Sadperson, looney laura, me@ - handymelon, batgirl, for your warm welcome hope I have not missed out anyone who welcomed me.

Hi to everyone on this thread.

My grump for today is they delivered my work tops and one is damaged, I have to wait 10 days for another one as they were especially ordered and cut with curved edges on the end of each corner, the manager said he would have to pay for it out of his own pocket,I just thought tough, if that is the case, just one setback after another.

Bye Grumpies

Did he want you to say, "That's ok. I'll have the damaged one then?" How ridiculous!

It will be worth waiting for when it's finished and just how you wanted.

I am waiting for a start date for a new bathroom. It's very out of date but now slowly falling to bits with leaks , a broken shower and tiles loose. It's not sooooo old but I can't wait for white. Then everyone will start having coloured suites again lol.

Had a lovely day out with a friend tramping round the countryside looking at sculpture. I am hoping that it will cure my insomnia, except that I really feel like I could go for a nap now. That would defeat the object.

Sad, was the facebook post an alternative to Betty's? I've had no PM but am free most of next week and the week after if anyone else is.

Just sayin'

The facebook post was a play on words because of Handy's typo, Amica my love I don't think anyone has been pm-ing anyone yet. Life too chaotic etc.

Either that or it's me that's been left out of the loop

On a less dramatic note my car has a nice new windscreen today (cheers autoglass) and Mr Sad has his nice new car... he's currently sitting outside playing with it. Bless <3

Plummie - pm me your new address when you get a minute? Mwah xx

My grump today is that I have a total tw*t of a second cousin ... I did type the whole story out here then realised I was being just as bad as him so just take it from me, the guy is an arse

I was hoping to finally make a Betty's meet up. My son just bought a house in London so I was planning to go over there soon. How long does it take to get to wherever Betty's is from London by train?

Was not feeling left out . Was dropping massive hints lol. I know you love me. X

It's about two hours depending on which train you get me. Can be many more if you get the wrong one.

Guess I will just have to do some work instead next week.

Let us know when you're in London me@ - even if we can't get a Betty's trip sorted (and in fairness it's a bit of a trek oop North) I can get to London in under an hour by train... we could do Covent Garden Lush again

That's assuming I'm not knee deep in work... spent all morning yesterday scanning Thelwell cartoons for a horse mad girl I am working with only to discover that Thelwell is very inaccurate when it comes to the horse's facial expression versus their ear position. Yes.... really. So we had to download photos of horses and assign feelings to those instead. On the bright side it got her talking about feelings which she swore from the start she wouldn't

It's a good job I love my job
