I've just realised what's been wrong this summer - I haven't stopped working

Wotcha Grumpies. Today I am mostly writing a training session that I've got to deliver four times in the course of one day. That day is next Tuesday so I'm running out of time. Procrastination is not my friend right now... so why am I tidying my office???

Just a flying visit - I'm on a split shift today ... yuk! Work is awful - absolutely awful but I'm soldiering on ... the boss walked past the other day after giving yet another list of ridiculous commands ... and my line manager followed, rolling her eyes at me - so i just said to her "May his bowels burn!" - and she totally lost the plot! She was in hysterics - my aim was to amuse, not my fault i'm reading a book that had some witches in it, thought I'd try my hand at cursing. Fortunately (or unfortunately) it seems I'm not very effective at it

Really that's all I've been up to - working. Destructo continues to be a pain ... although she is amusing me at the moment, as she's chilling on her back with her legs up in the air while barking but she can't be bothered to get up at the moment to deal with her imaginary crisis!

Here is a little local clip from the newspaper the other day that is somewhat alarming - I'm going to be a bit more paranoid about noises in the roof now

In KJ's honour I have just eaten cold sausage casserole for breakfast; it was delicious!

We've got nothing planned for the weekend. Nothing at all. And I can't say how fab it is.

I quite fancy a long walk in the woods, followed by a late lunch somewhere nice.
