After an amazeballs day out in York yesterday today has been pretty pedestrian, but the Big Shop is done with no-one injured, and we've been out for a walk en famille and picked some brambles this evening.
Trip across to the South Bank tomorrow; this has been the summer hols for picnics and ice-cream. Which, let's face it, is not exactly a hardship! ![]() Hugs all round! (((GoW))) |

Sounds lovely handy, picnics and ice cream. We had some ice cream at B&Q yesterday, from an ice cream van parked outside. Nice, but hardly the same.

I'm going to join you today LL, in plodding and getting nothing done.
It's peeing down, quite cool out, and I've had next to no sleep, so the mood is very much of the 'sofa and book' variety. |

Don't blame you Bats, enjoy your book
I have had a humdinger of a mirgraine thought I could sleep it off got up during the night to get my meds and the cat was sat right on the middle of my desk thankfully i clean my desk before going to bed or the cards would have been full of cats hairs. Weather sun is shining but I feel cold no different there then off to have another cuppa before the next assault on the cards Have a good day grumpies love hugs and vibes. |

Hi Grumpies! Hope you're all well.
I've been MIA while major daily drama was happening here with my HD neighbour. The police have been here just about every day for the past week or so. He's got garbage all over the garden which is attracting mice who also like my courgettes on the other side of the fence. He was finally taken away last night. He'll spent a couple of days in the hospital and then he's being transferred to a special institute for degenerative neurological conditions for long term care.Looking out for him and after him was exhausting. Today I feel so much lighter and freer. I can sit outside in the front of the house now without worrying about him coming out and kicking off. I don't have to worry about him trying to get inside of my apartment any more. The police left his window open and there's a stench coming out of it. They said there were maggots all over the place as well as garbage. Even with that I'm full of relief. |

What a relief all round me@. I feel very sorry for that poor chap who obviously couldn't help it, and just as much for everyone like you who was left to deal with his problems. I know how relentless that kind of thing can be, and how trying to help can get you nowhere.
![]() Another ploddy-ish day here due to more insomnia. But I took the bike out regardless and did my usual ride - and enjoyed it... before it started to pout down - so I've a good chance of being fast asleep by 10. That's the theory anyway.

I might've, but I think I'm actually remembering something from Slovakia. ![]() Massive bummer about your leak. I actually spend most of the afternoon with a couple of builders but it's all planned work, so not as bad as your emergency. Hope it's all fixed by now. ![]() I'm still up to my ears in work, and I'm not quite sure how or why that is. I've drastically cut back on my own stuff, so why are there still not enough hours in the day?

The tour is still a work in progress and might get bumped to the spring - no candlelit graveyards but good weather and hopefully easier dates for our working grumpies to get away.
![]() Apart from a couple of lunches out, my next week or so is going to be very paperworky. I've five lots of accounts to do - nothing too complicated but just lots and lots of it. Dullsville central. |

Good morning Grumpies!
It's Thursday, isn't it? I'm so confused these days with Mr. Home's days off . Now he's off on Wednesdays and Saturdays. It's not going well. ![]() Yesterday we spent hours working on the garden. I'd like to have at least one week of the summer garden in it's full glory before autumn sets in and the leaves turn and fall. Between my shoulder problem and my neighbour shouting "**** you" continuously when I was out there things didn't go to plan. Mr. Home also cleaned up the garbage from the neighbour's garden and was coughing, choking and retching while doing it. He had to fight his way through over 2 meter high overgrowth to get in there. He deserves some sort of award for doing it and the smell level back there had gone down drastically. ![]() My veggies had better hurry up and finish growing since on Monday scaffolding is going up around our house for a major facelift. I've planted the veggies too close to the building and I don't see any possibility of salvation for them . We've also got to clear off the balconies but I don't know where the stuff will go. The work is going to last until the end of November and the hallways will also be painted. We've all got lots of pictures/paintings , plants and shelves out there so our apartments are going to be quite cramped for a while. On the positive side, we won't have to be embarrassed about the shabby look of our building compared to the others on the street. (Those of you who have been to my house know what I'm talking about.) Laura: Sorry to hear about your leak. I hope that you're able to get it sorted without too much hassle and money. There are crooks like that who break something while appearing to fix something else. Why are they usually plumbers?BG and SP: You two are so busy it makes my head spin. I don't know where you get the energy from to live those hectic lives of yours. Just make sure that you save a bit of yourselves to enjoy your retirement years. I'm noticing this trend among my friends who have retired over the past few years. Many of the ones who worked entirely too hard have suffered major health crises within a year or so of retiring. Some of them (including a first cousin) are no longer with us and all we can do is sadly remember how hard they worked before retiring and the big plans they had but will never fulfil. Well, back to Thursday. It's supposed to be day 2 of my weekend but Mr. Home has gone to work and it's business as usual. Business for me is just pottering around and drinking coffee, watching Jeremy Kyle and then deciding what to do with my day. Planning dinner can be very stressful, so stressful in fact that I sometimes don't have the energy to actually cook it after going out to market to buy the ingredients.

I know from doing our house up doing one room impacts on all the other room and drive me nuts but worth it when finished send you love hugs and vibes Me@
Hope all other grumpies are fine and dandy |

Hi all, and especially Laura. As she guessed or was told, I've been on an adventure, and there are photos in the usual places.
Dunno why they are a bit blurry.
