HAPPY BIRTHDAY BATTY
Happy bidet BG!

^^^^ not just a play on words, we're talking "wet rooms" (with waterproof speakers playing Lionel Ritchie).

I bet she doesn't know what day it is either Sad.

I would make it say blue suede shoes instead of the link but I forgot how to!

Happy Birthday, Batty. Hope you got thoroughly spoiled and enjoyed a huge piece of cake.

Had a lovely Sunday roast this afternoon - my OH cooked - yay - and his dad who is not well came and he only just went home. The longest he has ever stayed at ours before is an hour - he must really not have wanted to go home. I really dread getting older and being alone.

And I get to go back to work tomorrow - yay!

Cheeky sausage!

Thankyouverymuch lovely Grumpies. We were all too knackered to party much but I had a lovely day and did indeed eat loads of cake. Oh, and home made chocolates a friend dropped off. Beyond delicious. I've kept the box to sniff.

First day back - and I'm ready for bed already!

One of my kiddlies told me all about her holiday to visit relatives over Christmas overseas. When she got picked up, mum was surprised when I asked her about her holiday. Apparently it was last Christmas.

I was going to ask, "Can I have a sniff of your box, Batgirl?" but it sounds rather rude. I'll go and buy a creme egg instead! Already in the shops - who'd have thought it?

It will soon be Friday............

Bit like that here too snOwy. So we took ourselves off to the cinema (even though time doesn't really allow) to see Tom Cruise's thingy. It went on a bit but he does look ab fab for his age.

This bit reminded me of a conversation I had with YoungPlum the other day. The subject came up of "abs" and it became clear that she didn't really know what they were so I started to explain to her about the abdominal muscles etc... which she understood because she did know what a 6-pack and all that was. Anyway, just after we stopped talking she looked down at herself somewhat assessingly and announced "I don't have abs, mum, I have chunk!" Had me in giggles for ages, welcome to my world

Belated Happy Birthday to you batty! Glad to read that you had a lovely day!

Plummie, that sounds like my brother's comment: "I used to have a six-pack, now I've got a keg"

I'm going to be in trouble from KJ - - but here I is. Better late then never! Back at work, so breaktime catchup is here once more

Batty - you moved???? When???? Where to???????? PM, please!

I had a two day holiday for frankly getting too involved in a thread.

But nice to be back and see you all.

LOL that made me laugh *sorry*

My boyfriend (god at my age!) came round unexpectedly today.......Mmm I am not used to this and only want to see him when planned . I like my own space however it was a nice day and carried on as normal including doing the ironing.......I almost hit mother when she asked him to carry the ironing board upstairs for me (townhouses have lots of stairs!) I made a big point of doing it for myself. We also went to the local shop and he insisted on carrying my bag of bread and milk

I know many would say what are you whinging about BUT I am an independent woman who is not incapable of doing things. Of course if he suggests painting my lounge I will gladly succumb

Good night lovelyGOW!!

That's a good euphemism. Sorry twingle, just joshing with you. Nothing personal.

That gave me a good giggle on a dreary hot afternoon

Nothing much happening here .... well, when I say nothing much, I really mean nothing at all .... I'm living in a void of nothingness. Not entirely unpleasant but I would imagine the non-excitement of nothingness will pall very quickly.

I can't believe I have nothing to write about, nothing, nada, rien, niente, nihil, jack sh*t ...... while I am full of woe at this awful situation, I can hear a rousing collective cheer coming from the Northern hemisphere

It was all perfectly planned - a week before Christmas and a day before I flew out to Warsaw. I'll text you the details when I find my phone.

Nothing much to report from the batcave - I've too much to do and seem to have entered a 'deer caught in the headlights' stage which means I'm doing sod all.
