Perennial apologies for absence; it's been a teeny bit busy!
![]() To crown it all out TV has been slowly giving up the ghost and yesterday carked it and refused to turn on. Luckily it was Mr m to the rescue - we still had his Mum's old TV in our downstairs extension room, so he has hauled it out and plugged everything in and it all works - hooray! Now we have to decide about a new one - to Smart or not to Smart...? Otherwise it's just been school, housework, school, housework, sleep... If you have a peregrine, batty, she *probably* won't take your squiggles; peregrines hunt by high-speed mid-air collision and rely on the speed to snap pigeons' necks. I suspect the squirrels are safe - too close to the ground. If it's a sparrowhawk - giveaway feature is bright yellow legs, very long - then maybe they *might* snatch a squirrel. But there are tons of pigeons to eat and they're a lot meatier. So the squirrels are probably safe! Happy Friday, all - huggles all round! Strictly startes properly tonight - yay!

It's the pair of collared doves I'd be sad lose. ![]() It was all go in the garden yesterday, though. Miss Peregrine came back to finish off the left-overs and was hassled by a magpie. Mostly ignored it but it was just bizarre because we've seen those doves chase magpies away, so had them down as cowards. Who needs a telly!Speaking of which - I'd go Smart handy. I got one for Warsaw and it's ace.

Snowy - would you please take my babies with him???
![]() Batty - ![]() Handy - I feel your pain. I am spending so much time procrastinating at the moment that my to do lists have got to do lists. Something has to give. I have a horrible feeling it might be what's left of my sanity. I need therapy. By that I mean wine, chocolate and cake.

Hello Grumpies! Hope you're all well.
Still in my metal prison of scaffolding. Trying to cope with the lack of light, privacy, balcony and garden. The paint fumes and sanding and drilling noises don't help either. My tether is almost at it's end. I've had no time to enjoy the peace and quiet of being home after my HD neighbour was taken away and committed before this building work started. One good thing is that he's gone before the work started. He wouldn't have been able to handle all the disruption and noise and might have gone a little crazier (and blaming me) as a result.Grump, grump, grump...... ETA: I'm also missing all the birds who come here at this time of year on their way to their winter spot since my view is blocked. So I'm enjoying your bird tales. |

No more bird tales for the time being as I'm away, doing my own bit of flying. Again.
![]() Great grump me@ but I hope it's not long to go now. I'd hate it too. Nothing much to report from here. Bit knackered... Went to the cinema earlier to have a nice slob for a couple of hours. It was almost empty, which is just as I like it, then this woman came in and sat almost next to us. Left a one seat gap. That in itself made me want to be rude to her, but then she had the cheek to sniff repeatedly and loudly, with an occasional snort thrown in for interest, AND she kept noisily rummaging in an enormous carrier bag AND checking her phone. What are some people like??? We moved. But the film was good.

Hello lobelies. erm lovelies. Typing not my strong point.
Bit brassed off with Facelift, too many soppy posts, but not from you lot. Good to see handy's icon is back, it's she to a tee. I hate dogs but Mal's mutt is adorable. My latest crush on BBC Four (!) is Janina Ramirez. I will always love Lucy W though.

In other news... little Saddette has now done her other ankle in, just a sprain but enormously painful and bruised. Driving test just over a fortnight away too. Joy...
It's been a funny old week. It started with me feeling crabby, tired and emotional. Today I feel oddly positive I think it helps a lot to remind oneself of the good things achieved rather than focusing on the endless list of stuff still to be done. It's the starfish principle...And also on the plus side - happy hump day

Oh grumpies. I don't hate doggies, I'm just scared of dog poo, worms and that. I've just had a phone call that's taken a gorilla sized stress monkey off my back. so I can think before typing.

TFI Friday. After only getting one day off last weekend , this weekend has been long. I actually managed to leave work before 5.30 yesterday for the first time this year - and I didn't bring anything home this weekend. I am hoping that it's a sign of things to come next week.
The boys have been in Amsterdam all week so it has been peaceful and the house has been tidy. It will all be different later tonight but I will be glad to see them initially. The weather forecast is looking good so maybe we can all have some fun this weekend...especially now the monkey has gone! |

The drive home from the airport was horrendous yesterday...Lovely to be back, though, and a largely slobby day awaits.

It's starting off pretty miserably handy - the weather is just 'orrible!!
I keep refreshing the BBC weather page, hoping for an improvement in the forecast. It's not working! ![]() How is a girl supposed to go cycling?
