I'm in. We still get cake though, right?
Yes, and even more cake than before. Instead of birthdays we need to start having Cake Days.

It could catch on. Happy Cake Day... And if anyone asks how old, we can say fresh please.

Another day chained to my desk here. But I got up extra early and I've actually got loads done already, so I'm not too grumpy. And it's not raining.

I've been released from prison! The scaffolding in the front came down yesterday and they're taking down the back at this very moment. Happy days! I can nosily see up and down the street again and mind everyone else's business. There seems to be some new neighbours across the street, too and I didn't see the old ones go.

Yes to Cake Day! Fresh is a great answer for someone bold enough to want to know the number.

Glad to hear life's getting back to normal me@.

I'm beginning to come up for air from a massive pile of paperwork and I'm really hoping that I can just wind down towards the end of the year now, catch up with friends, have a few slob days, and when I travel actually enjoy it again.

Here's hoping!

I'm also thinking about what to do about the cycling once the weather goes completely to pot. Should I crack on regardless, rain or shine, or wimp out and spend the next few months swimming instead (in a pool, I'm not predicting a particularly wet winter )? I love swimming but get pool rage at the drop of a hat. Stupid people who don't know their own speed in wrong lanes, parents trying to teach their noisy kids to swim all over the pool, bad changing room etiquette (don't ask)... Grrr...

I'm trying to think of the worst offender...

Okay, imagine a really nice health club, lovely everything, fluffy towels... and yet a mum thought it was fine to leave her youngster's shitty nappy in the showers. Grrrrr....

You don't get that when you're cycling.

I think that Snowy should never eat sprouts again. It's cleared out the thread!

Hi LL

And at the sprouts.

My absence is mostly due to not being chained to my laptop. I post the most when trying to avoid work.

Had to have a rant and don't wanna do it in general - 'cos it won't be 'important' enough!

I HATE people who say 'we' to avoid them taking any responsibility e.g.:

1) Have 'we' done anything with this project yet (errrr well if you don't blooming know - how do I seeing as I've only just seen your email and heading grrrr)

2) 'We' need to make sure that xxxxx is told about xxxxx (well - carry on then you person of no action.

3) Can you remember where 'we' filed the report (No you idiot - seeing as 'I' had nothing to do with it.

4) 'We' really need to do this (Carry on then carry on - but please tell 'me' what 'I' need to do you numskull

I'm suffering from the same thing! It's just not normal. I'm just taking a break after completing 5 tasks already (including up and down on a ladder a couple of times) for today and I've been showered and dressed for two hours now.

Happy Monday to all.
