Hello peeps. What a lousy day. Makes you want to hibernate from the world and the weather. Been mia for a while due to long hours at work and a ridiculous commute. New job should give me my life back. Hugs to Laura and anyone else needing one today. Need huge arms for that mind.

I'll second that.

Not much to report from the batcave today. It's been very Sundayish, which basically means lazy, although I did brave the rain and the mud to get a bit of exercise. I came back with a very interesting hairdo.

Happy Monday, all.

Mr M off work with manflu today so we have spent my day off in cosy domesticity.

If you ever get the chance to see "The Heist" with William H Macy, Morgan Freeman and Christopher Walken on DVD/Netflix/whatever, I hightly recommend it It's very funny.

Huggles and furry blankets all round

I do like days like that. Hope himself feels better soon.

I'm slowly catching up on all the bits and bobs that have stacked up while I was away, but - and I hardly dare say it - it looks like I've got a fairly easy schedule from now until January.

I hope I haven't jinxed it.

There's very little chance of me being grumpy today. The sun is shining, I'm about to take the bike out for an hour or so, after that a quick shower, lunch with a friend and then some shopping. And it's Friday.

I too am grumpy. Feckin' software hassles. Everything nearly works. I'm convinced machines think you're looking at them funny and decide to get arsey. Just renewed my antivirus subscription £49 and then had to uninstall it ... at least Windows Defender is free.

Regards to everyone in the wars.

Who are the father and daughter in this scenario?

I know what that's like and feel your pain. BTDT At the moment all my software and tech are working harmoniously for me but I won't proclaim too loudly though since I swear that they can hear and sense things and are wee bastards.

I'm going to give 3 a go, but don't you think Saga was much better in 1? I still loved it, but 2 was a bit heavy handed for me, especially as far as her character.

snOwy - that's one sophisticated feline. Apart from the peeing of course.

Sad - I'm not sure I quite get what happened at half past effing midnight, but you have the patience of a saint so if it pissed you off I'm on your side.

Here, we've been in the woods all afternoon, traipsing. And then for some inspired reason I decided to take the bike out when we got back, just as it was getting dark. I had a fantastic hour cycling really fast with a gang of bats in tow.

Sorry I've not been around for a while. Life gets in the way.... well not so much "life" as the almost complete lack thereof I spend nearly all my time at work - they've mucked around with my shifts and had some bother as they basically did something that's against the union agreement and in rectifying that, they made matters worse for me - ho hum! Had the flu as well a few weeks ago - really knocked me sideways, I even had to take time off which I never do. I've been left with an irritating cough .... I know it's irritating because everyone tells me so Might have to go to the docs for antibiotics to clear it up!

Right then ... I would say that's my grump but it wasn't so much a grump as a whinge But then again I'm a pom and it's my duty as such to whinge.

YoungPlum has only 5 more days of Grade 8 and then it's the school holidays - she's counting down very loudly and frequently! A big week though ahead of exams and she has her drama assessment tomorrow. It seems my little star has a bit of an aptitude for drama - I knew she did in the home environment but i'm glad to see she is shining at school in that respect. The least said about her other subjects the better - suffice to say she has been read the Riot Act 2015 (Australia).

We might be getting kittens - one of the managers at work suspects that his cat is pregnant and it's a really cute grey cat ... so I sort of accidentally put my hand up for a kitten .... not sure it's one of my better ideas, but since when do I ever let that stop me! Oh and when I say "a kitten" I might actually mean 2 "a" kittens

So apart from drama at work and drama at school for YoungPlum not much else has happened. Destructo is the same as ever - a criminal at heart! She stole my coffee from my favourite coffee shop - I rarely go there because I can't afford it, but I went a couple of weeks ago after a long and dreadful day at work to get a coffee for me and a hot chocolate for YoungPlum. When i got home, I put it down and Destructo jumped up grabbed it and ran off spilling it everywhere! She really is El Horriblo!

This weeks challenge is to either mow my lawn or get someone in to do it. It's so long now that I think this time I might chicken out and get someone in. I don't have much time and it has to be done before the house inspection in a couple of weeks - it really is a jungle out there, if it gets any longer it might be the next venue for I'm a Celebrity get me out of here!

Anyway, enough waffle from me! Hope you all are keeping well - I do read up on your antics but I either don't write at all or I write essays these days it seems. Happy medium is what I need to find .... sure there's a joke in there somewhere about joyous psychics.
