Maybe something like this KJ? A real treat and no worries about getting the size wrong.

** waves to Laura **

MrsKJ is having the house decorated her way costing mucho £ and I've no idea what to get her for Christmas. The point being I'm not a bad man nor a skinflint but I'm not flush . Ladies, can you give me some ideas and preferably links? Just enough to avoid tears.
I'm in this same dilemma right now concerning Mr. Home and son. I'm hopeless at gifts. I often don't have one to give and it's not from cheapness. I usually give an Amazon gift cert. with Xmas card for the day itself and think of something mid- January(after the sales of course) that will suit and give my real gifts then.

Can't beat a bit of cashmere.
Except if you're allergic to wool. I've had to return/give away/itch from many a woolly gift.

Happy Hump Day ya'll.

What a bummer. I'm not great with woolly wool but fine with extra soft stuff. Batman suspects I'm just being devious.

Sad, how spooky, I'm at the hairdresser's tomorrow too. Can't wait either. I'm not even taking my phone with me. An hour of uninterrupted.... uninterruptedness. Bliss.

And yes, we're nearly there LL. The weekend is almost upon us. Yay! I've a plane to jump on soon but I'm looking forward to this trip. The Poles do Christmas really well so I'm planning to get into the festive groove as soon as I land. And then I'm back in time to sort out some Christmas food and that's it, feet up until after the New Year. That's the theory anyway.

They're like ravioli, and normally filled with savoury things, but I've recently come across them stuffed with a sweet cottage cheese and served swimming in custard. Strange but so, so good.

Here, the tree is up, we're slightly pissed on Advocaat and Bob Hope is singing away in the background. It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.

Every day feels like a long day at the moment. I'm feeling my age, I think.

I am so looking forward to Friday - yet after that I have my tax return to look forward to

Got so much to do here I don't know where to start - so end up procrastinating which is just making things worse. I need to turn off the internet!!!

If I could post you some, I would. And a bit of that chocolate and cherry cake (a black forresty affair) I had this afternoon. So good. But I did resist the hot chocolate with raspberries because while I was down on my five a day I couldn't get my head around it.

So I had a hot chocolate with whipped cream instead. I know you'd approve.

And then went shopping in M&S - slightly buzzing from all the chocolate - and bought loads of festive chocolate to give out as prezzies here. So much in fact that I was given two boxes of festive chocolates free, because I'd bought so much.

Today definitely had a theme.

And there was a bit of snow!

You poor thing LL - I hope the sleep fairy's been doing her best for you.

We're heading back for Christmas.... I think. And I say that because our original plan was to fly back tomorrow but Batman's really falling in love with the place so we're extending our stay, just like we did in the summer. So the current plan is to stay on, and get back just in time for Christmas Day. Food and prezzies will have to be either impulse buys or 'airport surprise' kind of thing (dare I say chocolate would probably do it again).

In the meantime we're having a great time - went to see the Glenn Miller orchestra last night at the Palace of Culture which was absolutely fabulous, and the audience provided as much of a show as the band (isn't that always the way? we spent half of the Go West gig a little while back watching a very drunk woman trying to attract Mr Lead Singer West's attention).

And it's Star Wars tomorrow. It could have been tonight, at midnight, but while I tried to get caught up in the excitement of the opening night (here at least), I just couldn't. Tomorrow will do just fine.

*Yawn* almost midnight now. Night grumpies. Sleepy vibes LL.
