I'll keep sending healing vibes. Hopefully they'll get through the cold. Very, very frosty here first thing.
And weather in general's been on my mind - I'm off on my travels soon and while the forecast does keep changing, some of the lower temperatures are a bit scary. -18C would be a bit so I'm hoping that things will swing back to a much warmer 0C , at least. Otherwise I'm going to have to dig out my skiing gear and go in that.

I'm hoping for a better week too. Was regretting my move last week. Hmmmm. And yes, healing vibes LL - so frustrating for you. I am in bed with a streaming head cold today and going out of my mind already, cannot imagine being you. But every time I get up and try to pull myself together I just can't do it. The mind is willing but the body is saying get stuffed. Grrrr. Sorry I missed saying happy birthday to me@ on here yesterday... hope she's had a fab weekend. In other news... the youngest has got a second interview for the apprenticeship of her dreams. This makes having sat outside the first interview on Friday in sub zero temps in my car (probably leading to the head cold) totally worthwhile. Even if she doesn't get it - it has been a massive boost for her to get as far as she has done. It's all jolly exciting stuff.

Sad's spot on Amica - the deadline idea takes at least some of the pressure off. And I do hope it gets better.
Sad - poor you! Don't try pulling yourself together, for a couple of days at least. Fab news about young Sad, though. ![]() And a belated happy birthday to me@ from me too. Sorry I missed it. My life at the moment is a mixture of being on the phone, mostly on hold, and dashing out to sort things out that need me to be there in person. 2016 is turning out to be far too busy!!!!!! This was not the plan.

A wise person (MIA - Socha...) once told me to give myself a deadline by which to decide if the new job really wasn't for me. By the time the deadline came, I was in love with the job - but had been totally overwhelmed by it initially. Never had a job before that had literally made my head spin. Hang on in there and tell yourself if it's still pants you'll hand in your notice at half term. Or Easter. Big hugs.

Facelift
This is handy (!) because you can ditch the bloated FB app and use Chrome which is there already.

You're all talking gibberish to me
![]() Can I ask for some wonderful positive youngest daughter vibes please? Job opportunity of a lifetime and she's down to the final two. SO excited. And her driving test on Friday - this could be the best week of her life, with a few GOW vibes in the right places. I know they're magic, see. *disclaimer* no blame will be apportioned if these two things don't work out. Everything happens for a reason

morning grumpies
well enough said have a good day all love and hugs I hope that you're having a "not so bad" day. (That's chronic illness speak for the rest of you where we measure how we're feeling today compared to the worst of times.) Thanks for the birthday wishes. It was the quietest do nothing birthday I've ever had. Just thankful for still being here. ![]() I hope that the new job craziness has calmed down a bit Amica. It takes time to adjust to things and I think it takes longer the older we get. Here's (vibes) to Sadette having the best week of her life. C'mon Grumpies, we can do this! ![]() BG: I've done a bit of a preliminary feasibility study of my going to Warsaw. I was shocked at some of the hotel prices until I converted zloty to GBP and it's not so bad. Can you recommend some hotels?I'm taking it easy today. The very cold snap we had wreaked havoc on my bones and joints and especially my internal (knee) metal. It's just as painful when it "thaws"out than when it freezes but in a different way. ![]() Here's to a Happy Hump Day in GOW land nonetheless. |

And I'll keep everything crossed too, just to double up. me@ - I don't use Warsaw hotels to stay in, but Sad and I have had a number of very nice cocktails at the Marriott. The bar is on the top floor so you get amazing views. Not much of a hotel recommendation though, I know! A friend of mine used to spend a lot of time in Warsaw and always stayed at the Bristol. I think it's the most expensive one in town but he loved it and I've eaten there a few times and it's fab, so if the exchange rates are kind that would be the one to go for. The other option springing to mind is the Novotel, the one in town. I haven't stayed there but have used the chain on several occasions (including once in Krakow) and I think they're fine. I'm there again soon so will have a good look with the grumpy tour in mind. Also, there's a place close to me... somewhere. I've never seen it so it's probably down some side street I never go down, but I'll make a point of checking it out.
