I've got a major case of the "blahs". We had sun for a couple of days but it's back to being normal (rainy,windy, cold, etc). I think a trip to the garden centre might be just the thing for it. But first I have to struggle through the weather to get there. That's why I'm still sitting here....

You're right. I'm so bad at it, FB I mean, and need to get better. If it's not too late for a New Year resolution, I'm making one right now... If only I could remember my password!

My day's been fine. I got tired of my laptop by early afternoon so took myself off swimming and did 90 laps in an outdoor pool, and it was fab. Ever so slightly heated - just enough to take the edge off and produce some very atmospheric steam. And it was raining. I had the place to myself.
That sounds heavenly.
We have booked a three week holiday for October. This means that I absolutely definitely will be giving my notice in a couple of weeks. I am so relieved i can't begin to tell you. I only have to tolerate the stupidity of it till summer.

No, not stupid at all. If you hadn't taken it you would've probably had regrets about missed opportunities. This way, you gave it your best go and know for sure that it's not for you. And it'll pay for the holiday!
We're off for a hike in the woods in a minute, once the footy finishes. Obviously while it's been lovely and sunny until now, clouds have started to gather. It feels personal.
