So glad the Plums are safe from the fires, my geography isn't great so I had no idea ![]() I would say TGIF but I don't feel like celebrating as the week has been a bit wasted here. Am doing my best to stay positive in the face of adversity but, well, meh Going to slob out in my p-js in front of the telly this evening and hope tomorrow is a better day. Poor snowbes - cats are buggers for worrying you, aren't they? ((((huggle))))
My tom cat emptied every orifice he posessed all over my utility room on Monday night and left it all for me to find when I came down at 6-30 Tuesday morning - with the extra special finishing touch of a turd ON THE KITCHEN TABLE!!!! *vomit*Luckily we had a vinyl cloth on the table and it was fairly ancient, so that's gone out and I'm awaiting the replacement ordered from good old Amazon. As for the rest of it - no breakfast for me that morning; by the time I'd cleared up it was time to get Melony up for school. Needless to say, Puss was fine by the evening. Little git! A busy week here and not likely to get any less complicated soon as Mr M is still jobhunting and having a bit of a stress about finances. Not that we have any problems at the moment, but he's a big believer in fretting... *sigh* Luckily, Melony generally chirrups him out of it ![]() Pizza and beer tonight - once Mr M gets out of the shower!

@handy - positive vibes to my brother from another mother.
@snoWBes - Dennis is back, I was right about throwing up bird bits but it was the MelonCat ![]() @Sad - it is Tetris. Small stuff at the front. No shadowing of the water spray by casserole dishes or colanders. I *hate* it when MrsKJ stacks it, and afterwards, find bits of very clean food stuck to things. Apropos of cats evacuating all orifices, that happened to me in a telephone kiosk with a kitty I rescued from being run over. The owners were very grateful, but I saw the BT cleanup crew the next morning as I went past on the bus ... |

Thank goodness. In time for the forecast weather. I'm really hoping they've got it wrong - again!
Having a lovely lazy day - lie in - long shower - sitting about doing nothing - well in between the laundry and the cleaning but it's better than work - knackered.com Hope you all have a relaxing weekend too |

I'm having the opposite of a relaxing weekend. Batman is in full action mode and building a huge bookcase. We don't desperately need one but it's going to be his practice run before he does the kitchen and it was going to save us loads of money. So far, the materials have cost almost £300 and he's out shopping for more as I type. He just doesn't understand that saving money is when you buy a dress full price and then some reduced shoes to go with it. Isn't that right Amica?

Oh poo. I've been on DS:GD this afternoon as a displacement activity 'cos Palace are away at Burnley (it's an expensive trip, indeed I had a good one last year ... "you alright?")
WHY oh WHY did I check the scores at 80 minutes? If I'd not looked, we'd be on 50 points. <sob> arsebiscuits. |

Oh yes!
![]() ![]() But just think of all the books you'll be able to shelve . I think the time it takes to build should be the important factor with the kitchen. Imagine not being able to cook for weeks and having to eat out all the time....

Imagine not being able to cook for weeks and having to eat out all the time.... ![]() I saw Les Mis last night and ashamed to say was disappointed......I think it was so overhyped I had built it up to this amazing experience. It was good but not that good! It didn't help having someone singing along to the tunes. i had to keep digging him in the ribs to shush! Ha I am a dishwasher freak.....No one and I mean NO ONE can load it properly If guests stay I have to reload it when they are not looking . I know my machine and know how it rolls ![]() Glad Dennis has re-appeared but not happy about Cat melons being a bad bad boy Melons is he (or she) jealous of Melony? Cat are such funny creatures, loveable but funny![]() Night all busy day tomorrow HE has promised to regrout my shower room (no euphonism there!) and in return I cook a sunday lunch. Sounds a fair deal to me

Well I thought Les Mis was fab
but then the only people singing when we saw it were the row in front of us who recently performed it and they're all in tune... ![]() Looks bloody parky out there today.

@ batty and the Big Bookcase. Mr M wouldn't know where to start, bless him, at least batman's having a go! Having kitchens done is vile, whatever route you take, and bathrooms, too! ![]() Good luck with it all... snowy, so glad he's back ![]() Cats are b'stards, aren't they? Twing - no, he's not jealous I don't think. He avoids Melony by staying outside when she's awake as he finds her a bit much, but seems to quite like her in his own way. No, I think it was soething he ate or a really nasy bug - threw up all his cat-food and biscuits, had a massive wee and the aforementioned turd. Most of it all over the utility room floor. *sigh* ![]() Thanks for positive and supportive vibes, folks. Onwards and somewhere, eh? |

The Big Bookcase is 2/3 done and Very Big already. I got rid of loads of books before the move (not knowing I was getting The Big Bookcase) so now the next challenge will be filling it. But hey, if that was my biggest problem in life I'd be laughing!

Snow, snow, soggy wet snow...
Mr M and Melony made a snowman after school - just a diddy one. He's got a carrot nose, grape eyes and a strawberry bootlace for a mouth - he looks great! ![]() If we get lots more snow I might get a Snow Day... but I only want one, so I require a thaw by tomorrow night... |
