Grump away LL. Lots of virtual hugs heading your way. (((LL)))
Nothing much to report from here. Walk in the woods with lots of family, chocolate, gossip, Batman's cooking tonight so that's always nice... Yup, that's about it. Good to have another proper day off tomorrow too. This weekend feels like an actual break. |

4 days doing b-all, marvellous!
If you want a hybrid of a thinking woman's film and a dash of dystopian science fiction, Netflix has "Advantageous", a film best watched late at night, quietly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnBT0izYi7A Watch the trailer .... |

Hellooooooo grumpies! I'm thoroughly taking advantage of the Easter hols by sitting around in my PJs, drinking tea and watching rubbish telly. It's a hard life but someone has to do it

Ey up Colette.
Hope you and all other grumpies are well. Off on a little jaunt tomorrow to Italy. Will be back Saturday and will be fatter. I just love the food and wine ! Hubby has to go for work and as it's the holidays and the hotel is already paid for it would be rude not to. |

Dammit snowY you didn't come to Cairns - I need an excuse to eat cake!
I just wrote a very long post and then lost it - suffice to say - I rambled about nothing in particular Getting by here just about - keep fingers crossed that we get our lease renewed, I don't want to move house. Trouble at work seems to have calmed a bit - I had a major meltdown at the store manager when he asked me how things were going one day but told him I didn't want him to intervene at this point, just to be aware. Anyway, things miraculously improved after that, so I presume he intervened - no adverse consequences yet, but I remain wary. He's a really decent chap and he knows I'm a good worker, which is why i think he chose to poke his nose in. All good for now though but time will tell! Destructo and the kittens are maintaining hostillities and there seems to be no peace talks in the offing. Destructo is herself a weapon of mass destruction so we don't need to search for one of those .... and I think she has been in communication with Tonks and Luna as they are becoming little shits ... yes I went there, they ARE little shits. Destructo Maximus is moulding Destructo Minor and Minimus. That's what my Dad used to call my brothers and I ... Offspring Maximus, Major, Minor and Minimus .. I was Minimus YoungPlum is plodding along at school - spending more time on social activities than assignment based activities and we have our regular dramas with approaching and past deadllines! She's a chip off the old block! Other than work and YoungPlumminess nothing is happening in my life - and that is really sad - I have nothing more to say. Presumably that is why I write lots (when I do appear) yet say little. A road to Damascus moment as I realise why I am the way I am Hope everyone elses lives are fun-packed with good stuff. Really glad you had a good trip sNowY. |

Welcome back snOwy.
![]() Plum, I do enjoy reading about the 'nothing' that happens in your world, though I do always hope for nice 'nothings' of course. Not a great deal happening here either. I'm sitting in a hotel room, trying to get some work done, failing, thinking about going for a swim, feeling lazy, wondering if I should go and buy some chocolate... One nice thing, though - I got the Blade Runner sound track a while back and it's very fab, so at least I have good music to go with my procrastinating.

WoW! Happy belated birthday snOwy Mum!!!
My mum's birthday is coming up too, her 80th in fact, so she's a youngster compared to your mum snOwy. I'm completely stuck as to what to get her... She's so ill now she won't remember it's her birthday and when I tell her she won't really know what it means. Last year, for the first time, she didn't even open her cards. It's like she's forgotten how to do that too. So I opened them for her, and her presents, but we could tell that none of it meant anything. Very sad. So I think I'll just carry on taking chocolate. I take some every time I go, so I'll just take twice as much. She still enjoys sweet things. Even more than before I'd say! |

Thank you. I know that you know how shitty this is. So, I'm home, trying to feel like the weekend has started because I've a hair appointment tomorrow and a swift lunch with a mate to look forward to. Unfortunately about 20 other things that look like work need doing too before I crack open the vino tomorrow... tomorrow tea time, hopefully!
