Ahhhhh bless, it's all a bit grumpy in Grumpysville

All fine here - day off tomorrow. YoungPlum goes away to camp with the year 9s at school - I'm such a good mum that I have no idea where she's actually going, just somewhere away, by coach. I do however know when she'll be back and I'll probably even be there to collect her. She doesn't want to go - mainly because apparently she hates "fun activities" (bless my daughter's miserable little soul) ... and because she'll miss Destructo - not me, apparently, just Destructo. Hurtful much! It will be quiet here and I'll have to share my room with Destructo - I hate sharing with her, she's a shuffle bum and keeps me awake.

Work was fair to middling unpleasant - I wasn't feeling well, and my line-manager told me to "suck it up" .... another colleague told me to "get over it princess" ... and my manager said "does this face look like it cares?" - just as well I know they were all joking - probably

Hope you all have a good day ..... and btw I hate people with that superior attitude too. I've had plenty look down on me, especially in recent years and they can all get screwed.

Grump

People who think they're superior or you're inferior. Can just go do one.
People like that make me laugh. Can't take them seriously. But yes, they can definitely go do that thing.

Plum, hope you're feeling better by now. And enjoy... I was going to say having the house to yourself but with the resident menagerie you're not going to be exactly alone. My thinking is have a big glass of wine, say yes to a bit of lard, and shuffle that bum right back. Add a good book and you're sorted until the little one returns from wherever.

Here, I'm climbing a mountain of Incredibly Dull Stuff I need to get done before I fly off again. And it really is very, very dull. Endless email exchanges with people who really need to get their finger out. Long spells on hold listening to cheesy classics... So yes LL, same shit different day indeed.

I'm surprisingly cheerful really...

Helllloooooo

Sorry - have been away - a lot as it goes

Did Italy first with the OH - he on business trip and me tagging along as the hotel was booked etc. Then last weekend was a wedding in Denmark which was ace. The meal started at 4 and finished at 12 - with different wine for each course and loads of speeches - which passed me by unfortunately but people laughed, cried and cheered so they must have been good. Coffee an wedding cake to follow then the band started at 12.30 a.m. Those Danes certainly know how to party. It took a week to get over it -at work trying to prepare for a class assembly- which is a VERY big deal at this place. I guess I shouldn't care too much as I have already handed my notice in but I do want them to do well.
There will be singing, acting , musical instrument playing, poetry recitation and the displaying and reading of work. This all has to be coordinated with people arriving in the right order at the right time and I am sooooooo bored with it now but they love it!
It will all be over by playtime on Thursday when I will have to start teaching again. Can't wait. Till then evening wine is my friend.

The youngest is poorly again with more unknown growths which noone in the NHS seems to be concerned about, but obviously he thinks it's what he's had twice before and is stressing himself - and us- out. Finally got an ultrasound scan date through but it's not for another month with the results a month after. Meantime we are just keeping everything crossed that it's the vague virus they keep claiming. We shall see.

Think that's my news caught up - nice to see you Sad , hugs to poorly LL and bored/stressed Bats. Coooeeee, KJ. Waves to everyone else.......

Greetings SnOwy. Hello Grumpy peeps.

Am also glad it is the hump of the week.

It is indeed a sad day. What with Alan Rickman and now Victoria... Not a great year for my favourites. So young too. We really do need to make the most of it.

Did you get the moon, KJ?

Would like to see you in a tutu, KJ. I can understand why you're scared but that deep brain op was miraculous. They may yet find other therapies to help. Chocolate sounds like a good plan. Hugs xx

LL, glad to hear preop ok. Keep on keeping on.

On another note , TFI Friday.

Don't be daft. (((KJ))

Sad - that's the bit that got me " loa.'s wh I rarpost". No idea. And I'd hate to hazard a guess.

Me, I'm just knackered. Really tired. And very grumpy. I've been trying to resolve an urgent matter for months now and it looks like I'm no closer than when I started. I've explained, complained, appealed for help, and nope, not got what I need. So another email got fired off but, frankly, I could do without it on a Friday night.

Did I mention I was tired...
