*dashes into thread*

Guys, I am SO SO SORRY for being away so long.
Have caught up all the posts since late January when i was last here *blush*

Came on to say this:
Happy retirement, Snowy xxxxx *mmwah!*

Laura, hope the shingles have died down a bit and you are feeling better. Itching is horrid!

Hugs and waves to busy Bat and busy SadP

KJ, - regarding the sandwich recipe - Mr M says it's deffo not the medication, you've always done that...

Plummie, you rock.

Amica, didn't realise how horrible it had got for you *hangs head in shame*
FWIW you have done the right thing. Supply pays pretty well, but get yourself in with and LEA if possible, don't use and agency, they rip you off! Let's face it, the way things are going for primary teechers you'll have no shortage of work!

I had a pretty weird time at work myself for a few months; am assuming you've read the FB essay about it all so won't bang on about it here. Between that and actually doing work itself (took on extra hours in December/January and now wish I hadn't - back to part-time in September!) it's been a bit mad, which is my pathetic excuse for being MIA. Anyway, all resolved now and I have a permanent part-time post at a really nice little comprehensive in North Lincs, which I hope to stay firmly rooted at till I retire myself!

Mr M is very excited about this afternoon's footie.
Up the Tigers, etc etc

Melony is (a) massive (b) fab

Am going to leave this tab open on the browser so I have no excuse not to be here now.

Big hugs to all you lovely peeps! ((((((((((((((((((GoW)))))))))))))))))))

Where is Me@, twingle, OMG, Plums, Collette and all the other MIA
KJ and I have been busy setting up the Summer House hoping for a lovely warm sunshine summer, love and hugs grumpies.

Staying where we are for the moment, Laura.

Mr M works for the Alzheimer's Society based in West Yorkshire at the moment, so where we live now is just nicely in the middle. Well, he drives a bit further than I do!
It takes me about 35 minutes to drive there, which isn't bad really

Glad you feel better!

snowy, i am well jell !!!

Here it's cold and windy so melony is watching a DVD and I'm off out to the shops and to heave some stuff into the recycling.
Oh, the glamour!

On the plus side I think I've run up a nice big wedge of credit with my fuel oil company so I may well be claiming that back...

I hope you got it LL.

I'm doing my usual sprint here of trying to get EVERYTHING done before I leave on my trip and I've got that horrible sense of time running out - too much to do to fit into the few days left! And we've a couple of social things to go to too, which we can't duck out of, and one is a house warming party and I need to get a really, really nice prezzie because this friend is an absolutely amazing present buyer... Eeek!

So today's plan is head out on the bike for an hour to clear my head, sit at my desk for a couple of hours and get as much done as possible, dash out to the shops for prezzie, then back to desk. Yup, that's a good plan.

I girded my loins and steam-cleaned the bathroom today. Takes a while to do and I'll be creaking and groaning tomorrow but it looks loads better!

Batty, hope the plan worked!

Laura, hope you're feeling a bit less dreadful today...

snowy - good on you!

Fancy seeing you here, at this early hour LL... Insomnia sucks! And aren't the birds noisy!

Handy - it kind of worked. Still bits and bobs to do but I did get the prezzie. A very pretty and quite large glass jar, and I'm going to fill it full of Lindt chocolates. That, some flowers and a bottle of pink fizz.

So... I'm not sure whether to get up and do something useful or stay in bed and read and veg. I'm being a bit of an insomnia fraud, because I did fall asleep about ten, so could just call it a short night and get on with it. And there's plenty of 'it' to get on with.
