A 2:1 is fab news , SnOwy. We get to find out our son's degree next week although he has already set up in business with his mates so he says it doesn't matter too much as he has what he wants already. He pitched for and got a grant for their start up costs from the Uni this week, so he's a happy bunny. I am trying hard not to say go and get a proper job!

In other news - I have two weeks left to do. One of two new staff in yesterday to replace me and my boss (who is going on maternity leave) caused a big stir. I did say when he came for interview that I thought he wouldn't be a good fit for the unusual environment, but he has already decided he doesn't want to comply with the school ethos. It will be amusing to hear how his ideas for improvements go down with the trustees as they are such a progressive bunch

I am still worried about "choosing not to work" - as we are now calling being unemployed at our house.

Him indoors went to hospital with chest pains this week which may or may not be angina- more tests to come. He has been off work and took himself fishing to relax. He got two insect bites which have turned nasty and he is now stressed as his hand is swollen up, as is his back. He has stuff from the chemist but it isn't looking any better. So that relaxation technique doesn't work.

Well seen the specialists and the consultant so bonus in seeing both then consultant continued to talk to oh about the football whilst the specialists nurse dealt with me have to have another blood test for typhoid and then they can start the new treatment, specialists nurses come to the house to show you how to use the stuff and how its stored in the fridge so we shall see what happens.
Well I'm pushing to boat out and have a crunchie not a lover of chocolate but I'm having one.

Amica, all best vibes to Him Indoors and I *do* hope it just turns out to be a hiatus hernia or something! Mr M had to got for a colonoscopy today - he's fine, all is well, but the whole unpleasant process has made an interesting 24 hours of very little sleep and a lot of loo-time!

As for the "choosing not to work" - you will get *shedloads* of supply. Promise. And because the DSS (or whatever it is now) know you're a teecher they won't be hassling you to find work over the hols cos they know there isn't any! Get thyself on the LEA supply list and just wait for the offers to roll in!

Yep I said something similar yesterday thought it was just me and my brainfog seems not. Hope Mr H is doing well and I am glad all is good hopefully not need another for a while. We've had a nice day, mostly outdoors, but it's a bit of a pants summer as far as the weather so far (is that a yay from handy I can hear? ) and I could do without checking the forecast first thing before deciding what we're going to do... But I'm not feeling too grumpy. Just a bit knackered. In need of a proper break. The problem is that we travel so much planning an away holiday doesn't really appeal, and when we have a bit of free time at home we end up doing loads of stuff.

I need to find a way of teleporting myself to a beach.

I'm having a very slow day so far. Filing. Or trying to. My old system is straining under the volume of paperwork that goes through my hands and, to be perfectly honest, if I actually needed to produce a physical document for something I'd struggle. So I'm having a bit of a reshuffle. It started well, but I'm stalling... There's just so much stuff!!!
