Good.
I've had a very nice weekend at home. ![]() And it's a gorgeous day here today. I got up early, got loads done at me desk, then off I went, into the sun. Back knackered and sweaty, so a quick wash and some outdoor jobs... Might paint the windows. They need doing, and I've been putting them off for weeks. Just hate fiddly stuff when it comes to painting. Give me a big wall any day! |

Poor Miss Handymelon.
But it's almost the weekend! ![]() Things still a bit summery here, windows wide open, smell of paint in the air... Yes. I've started on the exterior woodwork. Yawn.... Boringest job in the world. In other news, Mini Cheddar, the hedgehog, might have to be renamed - the greedy thing is getting quite Maxi. Maybe he knows something we don't and an extra cold winter is soon to be upon us, so he's stocking up on the lard. He's still cute, though, and getting very comfortable with us. In the early days of our relationship we'd step out into the garden and he'd immediately make a bid for safety by walking slowly to the bushes. Now he just kind of turns his back on us and stays still, possibly working on the assumption that if he can't see us we can't see him either. But we can, cos he's a chubster! |

Blimey, snowy - what;s one of those???
![]() batty - hodgehegs are just the best things. We don't get many out here because there isn't enough cover for them; too many big open fields. Is he sharing the cat food with Not Your Cat? One training day down, one to come then the kids are back on Tuesday. At least it makes a nice gentle coast into the term. We've had a day out to a nice farm/ice-cream parlour today; it was widdling down but we're rebels, yeah? ![]() And I'm re-reading the harry Potter books because Mr M bought me the playscript of the new stage show. It's really good. Sp I'm halfway through Goblet of Fire and very short on sleep - the flipping things are like the chocolate digestives of the book world. ooh, just one more chapter... just one more won't hurt... just one more.... bugger me, it's 3am... Love and hugs to anybody who needs them ((((((((skweeze)))))))))))0 |

Is this akin to pickling snOwy? What veg did you use? I'm slightly fascinated by stuff like that, and jam making and... living off the land.
And pickled eggs. I have never had one but they provoke all kinds of questions in me, mostly starting with why....handy - NYC hasn't been around much actually. Maybe found a better gaff, though that's hard to believe. Maxi, for example, mostly gets special hedgehog food from Tesco. I mean I get it for him, he doesn't go to Tesco, as far as I know... And if that runs out then the sunflower seeds I get for the birds go down very well. And sultanas, he's crazy for those. Yes indeed, I offer excellent catering, so NYC is a fool to his ginger self if he thinks he can do better. And speaking of food, I've just polished off a massive pizza, and I thinking of making a hot chocolate for pud. It's been that kind of a day. I spent hours trying to balance some figures and I was £1182.88 out, whichever way I sliced it. It turned out to be a sum in the wrong column. Grrrrrrr... I need a holiday!!! Amica, can I come with??? |

Morning SnOwy. Although it isn't any more.
I am incredibly grumpy today as the teenager had booked himself a day off work and decided to play computer games till the early hours which kept waking me up - well it was the padding through the house to look for snacks actually. I called time on him at 3.30 , but it's a good job I didn't get any work today. We will be having more words when he eventually surfaces. Still can't get used to not working. I feel so guilty. The forecast sunshine hasn't appeared either. Right, that's enough grumps for now. Need to get a grip. Yes, you can come with - Batty. (SnOWy) Mwah to all |

*starts packing*
Morning! The sunshine has appeared here and I can't resist. Although I'm surrounded by paperwork not much of it is urgent so it seems sensible to make the most of what's left of the good weather.

No cake but I do have some very gorgeous posh ice-cream in my freezer. Chocolate with some chocolate in, I think. And I'm ready for it!
It's been a bit of a week. Knackered. |

That sounds lovely snOwy.
I'm going to have a slow day, mostly due to still being knackered. Dropped off at about one, wide awake at 4. Too much on my mind. A cousin is a worry. He's an adult, but vulnerable, and currently being fleeced by a new 'friend'. It's amazing how hard it is to get anything done about something like that.
