That sounds fabulous. If I lived closer I'd be knocking on your door.
![]() But today is pumpkin day here. No one else is bothered, but I'm determined to carry on regardless. And to be perfectly honest I think the cool attitude is just a facade and my boys would be secretly disappointed if we were without spider webs and pumpkinless. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Apart from that important task, loads more to do. Jumping on plane time is approaching fast and, as always, I like to leave with my in tray empty. If only the world would cooperate! |

As long as they keep buying coffee and cake and not just sitting there using your wi-fi or sheltering from the rain.

![]() LL - hope you get better health news soon. Plummie - ditto with the job news Everyone else - big hugs all round and sorry for yet again being MIA. I will properly rant about it all one day but life has been a bit tiresome and very busy. Pathetic excuse but it's the truth. Hadenoughdotcom. (((((((((GOW))))))))) |

Morning all
Lovely weekend weatherwise in East Angular Today I am procrastinating about going to Sainsburys We did all our shopping and housework yesterday so thought today would be good for an extra hour in the kip and a nice relaxed brekky and "feet up" day. So far today, we have been very lazy. We drove down to St Austell and had a pub lunch with wife's parents (father in law insisted on paying, too..!! Result..!!) and we're now back at home. I'm writing this while I keep one eye on the Mini Tsunami, who is sitting on the lounge floor colouring in her book with crayons. If she moves within arms length of any wall with a crayon in her hand, I'll pounce. Going to bath Little Wrecking Machine early and get her in her PJ's so we can have a light tea and then settle down for the evening. She's looking forward to play group tomorrow because the children have been encouraged to come dressed in their Halloween costumes. It isn't possible to get a "Destructo / Terminator" outfit for a (nearly) four year old so she's going as a witch. I'm very wary of giving her a wand though, on the off chance she just might be have innate powers to make it work.... for real. I dread to think what fate could befall our cats. |

Hello all - thanks for all the good vibes ... they seem to be working on a delayed reaction, must have been blown off course temporarily over the equator but seem to have finally made their way here!
Since my last post there has been plenty of drama at work, being told by my dept manager to go find another job if I don't like my roster, tough. The store manager has been rather more supportive and fingers crossed I may get good news today .... Mentally I'm at the end of my tether and I've got a cold/flu thing going on too but I've been loathe to take time off as I know a certain someone would tell people it's because I'm trying to get out of my roster. Bad timing to be off sick - but I may have to give in today as I feel rough as the proverbial dog .... not our dog though as Destructo looks very happy with life ![]() Hopefully, my whinging will be at an end soon and I can get back to being cheery and annoying Time I was offski - in the immortal misquoted words of Wham .... wish me luck before I go go! Amica, I keep meaning to ask whereabouts in the land downunder are you going to? Hope you got sorted with work x |

Am in Sydney x Been to Darwin, Port Douglas, Airlie Beach, Cairns and Brisvegas on the way. Finally at a temperature I can cope with x
Hope you got sorted with work x Work not sorted unfortunately and has gone from bad to worse and no sign of anyone putting it right .... 4 weeks since I said I refused to sign my new roster and yet it remains unresolved. I'm keeping notes in case I need to go to the union. I remind them a couple of times a week, I need to remind them but am loathe to pester as that could be counter-productive. |

****waves to Sad****
We love you whenever you show up! Plum, that's just miserable. I really, really hope it sorts out sooner rather than later. Sensible girl for keeping notes, too. (((((bighugs)))) We had a fun mini-hols, back to work and straight up to 9,000 miles an hour. No pumpkin-carving here, didn't have tme, but we have various little lights and indoor decorations we've bought over the years so we've got those up. And Saturday is Bonfire Night which I really love - the village where Melony goes to school puts on a big free display at the Memorial Hall and does pie-and-peas and we often go to M's friend's house afterwards for a cuppa and a cake. Work is mad, but I'll save that for another time - it's my morning off and so far I've spent most of it procrastinating... ![]() Hugs all round! |

Morning!
I'm back from my travels and ignoring my desk until Monday. ![]() Shame about the weather - we've got a fair bit of rain and really high winds. Pretty crappy for bonfire night.

Hugs all round! It's the first time we've had a firework party at this house since we moved here. Megan's really excited. A couple of her friends from play group are here. We've got a little bonfire made up.... not a big one, but enough to bake spuds in and burn sausages in front of. We've mixed up some Gluhwein for the grown ups and the children have soft drinks. We've got plenty of sparklers for the children to hold and wave about and enough fireworks for a decent display. There are about a dozen people in all (including little ones). We won't be out too long but hopefully everybody will enjoy it. Have a good evening all..!!! |

I am looking forward to Fantastic Beast later next week if I feel up to it the trailer looks good.
Seen surgeon today it seem the operations is needed to be done but first have to get my strength up as its a big op and after the last one it seems from what he said today it was touch and go they have never mentioned before just how bad things where, just said the next op would be 50/50 but we can't keep going round and round in circles at present I have no life, so need to work hard on getting my stamina build up wish me luck. Hope all good with grumpies if busy Love and hugs PS Sorry for the downer. |

All the luck in the world LL.
It certainly puts my minor grumps into perspective. I really hope you'll be on the right side of the 50%.Not much to report from the batcave. Masses of stuff to catch up on after being away and although my next trip isn't until later on in December I'd love to get EVERYTHING done by the 1st, so I can have a long break over Christmas. It's certainly an incentive and should keep me from putting things off. |

Go for it Batty. You should not only have a trip to look forward to, but give yourself another incentive, like promising yourself a pamper day if you get it all done before the 1st.
My sister does this when she's got a deadline to meet. Get it all done a day early and use the time saved to have a good pampering. Take a tip from my sis, too..... Get your husband to pay, and hint very strongly that it's no fun going alone so he could cough up for a +1 into the bargain. It's much more fun for two..!! |

All the very best to you Laura and you'll certainly be in my thoughts and my infrequent prayers - you've been a real trooper throughout, always thinking of others, now hopefully it's time for our positive GOW vibes to waft in your direction and do you good!

![]() ![]() ![]() Plum - I stayed up to watch the election for as long as I could and thought that his early lead would melt away by the morning. Now I'm speechless. Absolutely gobsmacked. Un ****ing believable.

We also liked Trolls (really silly but sweet and with its heart in the right place) and we LOVED Kubo and the Two Strings - if you get the chance to see this one grab it with both hands, it's absolutely magnificent. |

Non-movie post:
Laura, you have put up with so much and you're still thinking of others and I really do respect and love you, my friend. Hugest of huge grumpy vibes. Keep us up to date as much as you feel able, won't you? ((((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))) As for the election - I'm not that surprised, tbh. It's easy to appeal to people's fears and the trouble was that Hillary just wasn't inspirational enough to get the waverers onside. So, its heads to the wind, hold the candle high and do what we can to keep those of us who believe in fairness and decency bolstered up and courageous. We've got each other through shit before, we can do it again. Big hugs and piggie squeaks all round. And cake. |
