Have they returned snOwy?

I'm having a busy old time of it in the eastern corner of Europe. It's a mix of family duties and fun because my boy's with me, and we have a finely tuned routine of packing a lot in, including a cinema trip every day. Last night was the new Star Wars. Not great but not bad. Definitely worth the price of a ticket.

Today - more family stuff this morning then a long walk around to see all the new Christmas lights. Apparently there are 22 illuminated kilometres in Warsaw, so my Fitbit numbers will be impressive by tonight.

Safe travels you lovely ladies. There's been some stuff on the news about protests in Warsaw but that's all been overshadowed by the Berlin thing. Poor families... be careful out there.

Here I am mostly jolly because after today we're into the days getting longer in the build up to summer

That and despite consuming vast quantities of rose last night I am not in the slightest bit hungover. This would seem to indicate that it's not rose that my tummy has a problem with, which is Very Good News Indeed. And we had Indian takeaway so it had a proper test run. Maybe from now on I will just have to endure a diet of salmon tikka and lemon rice. I'll suffer...

On a more serious note - LL I really hope they stop messing you about and come to some decent conclusions. This has dragged on so long and must be so draining. I can and do joke about my own sensitive guts but I'm very aware it's no laughing matter for some xx

BG - not seen you on FB yet....

Went out shopping today and seen a so called friend called her a couple of times before her turned round and spoke to me, I ask was she well no but haven't got time to talk her daughter was waiting I know she fell out with me over something stupid and I apologised when I was in the wrong so she must hold grudges so why has she upset me now I know now to just ignore her in future but good god I was very ill when I made the mistake and apologised when I realised what else do I need to do.

Sorry grumpies its just upset me I thought she was a friend it seems not. Oh well onward and upwards other things to worry about.
Love and hugs grumpies hope all ready for the festivities, safe journey Snowy and safe journey home Bat and any other grumpies travelling.

So sorry to hear that LL - has only happened to me with two friends in my %0 plus years but I know how hurtful that can be.

Their loss

Have tried gluten free and it does help sometimes - I seem to go through phases.

Our Christmas has been made slightly more challenging by my dad writing off his car and winding up in hospital for the foreseeable future. Luckily he didn't take anyone else with him. Hard call as he hadn't spoken to me in a month and a half and my sister hadn't heard from him in 3-4 years. We're all he's got (I'm the soft sister). But an hour and a half each way to get to the hospital is no joke... and that's in good traffic.

Roll on 2017 - just seen the news that Rick Parfitt has died and that, for me, has finished this godawful year. Big hugs, Grumpies xxx

Hello girly grumpy chums! I miss posting here but I just can't be spontaneous any more due to meds and stuff. I'm stlll good at arguing and being helpful though, a mixed blessing. At least those of you who've seen me recently know this sounds worse than the reality.

DS really has the best smilies any time of year
(This is why you should learn your smiley codes kids!)

MrsKJ wants to go on a cruise Amica

BFS is Palace manager, not sure even our away posse can manage pints of red wine

Hello!

Just a quick visit as I'm posting on my phone and it's hard work! Sorry not been around, internet has screwed up and I can't afford any options or alternatives.

Posting for 3 reasons firstly because I miss you, secondly to wish you all a merry Christmas and lastly to let you know that our lovely DestructoPup is in need of some Grump-vibes. She has cancer and had a tumour removed last week but it seems they didn't cut a big enough margin so she is back in for more surgery this week. She's still naughty though and chewed up the TV remote so nothing new there.

Not sure when I'll be back but I shall return sooner or later like the bad penny that I am!

Just popping in to wish all you lovely grumpies out there a very merry Christmas.

We're having a great time. My mum and dad arrived yesterday and we went out for a meal last night. Amanda's mum and dad will be here in an hour or so and everybody will be popping round the pub while I put the finishing touches to dinner before I join them. We'll sit down around two o clock. We'll all open our prezzies after the mountain of food I'm cooking has been consumed.

Megan has been excited all morning and grandpa is playing with her on the floor with all her new things strewn around. She's already decided what she's going to take to play group when she goes back, to show her friends.

Amanda and mum have laid the table and it looks really lovely. We're having a totally fabby time and I hope you all are too.

Right..... back to the kitchen. Lots to do. Catch up in the next few days. Until then, best wishes one and all. Love ya loads..!! MERRY CHRISTMAS..!!

*peeks round the door in an embarrassed manner*

*tidies up a few streamers, crisp packets and bits of sticky-tape that got missed*

Hope everyone had a good Christmas, lovely folks.

SadP, that's awful about your Dad, do try to look after yourself in amongst it all...

Plummie, huuuuuge vibes for Destructo, and for you and Little Plum. I do hope it all works out OK
And that you get your internets back!

Here, it's finally all calming down from the Christmas Chaos - I had work stuff a-go-go up until the 17th (between my school, M's school, Brownies and church I organised/performed in a total of four Christmas services and attended another two!) then we had a plumber and a TV guy tearing the house to bits during the rest of that week. Christmas tree finally went up on the 20th, with Melony fretting that if we didn't get it up Father Christmas wouldn't have anywhere to leave the presents. Last of the decs went up on Christmas Eve, but it was all done in time, we had a lovely day and have spent the last few vegging around recuperating.

Sending the biggest end-of-the-year hugs to you, one and all...

Yeah I may have spoken too soon about Rick Parfitt and no, this isn't a George Michael reference - my dad died this morning.
On the plus side can at least drink myself into oblivion now I don't have the motorway to contend with. Every cloud and all that. Cheers (((((((IGOW))))))))))

((((((((Sad))))))) Such sad news. You definitely deserve a drink or three.xxxxxxxxx

Here, we're still busy, having said an enthusiastic yes to too many social things. But at least the current plan is for me and Batman to be home alone on new year's eve, which I'm really looking forward to. Partied out, we'll probably grab a sofa each and greet 2017 with the sound of snoring.

Oh, SadP...
I thought that might be it when I saw the profile pic on FB.

I'm guessing he wasn't an easy bloke to get on with but that doesn't make it any less of a shock. I suppose at least he didn't linger on for years.

Thinking of you; you know where I am if you want a chat - text, PM, whatever works for you. xxxxxxx

Thanks lovelies. I didn't want to make any obvious reference on FB, it was more of a nod to those who already knew - to reassure them I was taking it ok. I can't abide vague-booking but I can't abide blatant attention seeking either so it was a tough call!!

I'm obviously upset but what's done is done and I know I did my best with the old sod. Families, eh. I just have to get through the coming months without falling out with my sister - easier said than done!!!

Bit mean of Carrie Fisher to steal his limelight though
