Sad, that sounds like an excellent idea...
Melony is at the childminder's today, though, so will be having a bit of duvet day with Mr M... is it OK if we go tomorrow instead?

Also - it's Pancake Day. Yummy!
Duvet day wins

Pancake day isn't the same when you're (a) on a diet and (b) have a grumpy Mr Sad with a streaming cold who's been up since 4am, has just gone to work, will go out with his ma for dinner tonight and won't be wanting anything but his bed when he finally gets home.

I think today might be the day I opt for trying out the frozen Asda pierogi ....*goes off to count calories in each one*

Sod calories. We're stressed, we can burn them off.

So I made another batch of soup, and this time used half of a red cabbage. It tastes OK, but the 'purple bruise' colour does not make me a threat to Nigella ... yet.

am on an unfamiliar netbook
CAPS is next to the A key, snOwBes.

Actually I is a nerd 'cos I've mapped CAPS to be another control key on my laptop, to help avoid RSI.

Everybody's is next week, except mine, for some reason.

We didn't have purple soup, we had chocolate chip pudding with caramel sauce. Yum... (again!)

Think we may have to defer the pancakes to tomorrow lunchtime, though, to avoid exploding

Mine is this week HM Not that it's affecting me much one way or the other. I've been writing training all day and my eyes are sore.

I'm baking banana cake. I thought it would be better for me than pancakes

Greetings... from Yorkshire.

Yes, I missed the plane but this time it wasn't my fault. Actually, it's never my fault when I miss the plane. There, I feel better for saying that.

Big decision now is this - can I be bothered to book another flight this week?

I need a PG.

Mrs KJ did pancakes

The trouble with cabbage in soup is that there's a good chance of the duvet taking flight.

The last HP laptop I used, said you could only make one set of recovery disks. I thought wtf, what if your first set of disks fail, etc. or get corrupted, i.e. one or more disks won't play.?

Seek out an installation copy of Windows 7/8 on tinternet and then change the serial number to the one on your system, usually located under the laptop. You're paying for a software licence, not the Windows software installed. Recovery/disk partitions are prone to get corrupted, so you are basically screwed without a proper installation requiring entering a serial, number.

Bats, you are truly... erm... unique.
Have you decided what to do yet?

Here it's de-grunge the kitchen day. Wooo...

I survived the weekend. Just. Only a few embarrassing pictures, inappropriate conversations, very late night drunken phonecalls and injuries bloody good time was had by all though

I too am now saying no to lard - especially after seeing some of the aforementioned pictures

I'm going to look at flights in a minute, to have another go. But the weather here is getting a bit frisky again so Batman is nagging me to stay put.

Collette - keep this up and I'll have to get on FB to have a look.

Hello grumpsters, wherever you are and whatever you're doing.

I had a massive day of driving. Miles and miles and miles... Some roads just go on and on.

Batman's home and he's insisting that we drink PG and make pasta. This will end in either of these two ways - we'll possibly have a fabulous evening with lovely food, or we'll get only so far, have a quick argument, and then someone will go out and buy Chinese food (that person won't be me because I'll be drunk). Nice to have a plan.

At least the Chinese food is closer than it used to be!

We were going on an outing to see family today, but the weather last night was so awful we cancelled.... and it's been much better weather today . Still - I've almost finished de-grunging the kitchen (I had a bit of a backlog to deal with ) and Melony has been very much in sit-on-her-bum-watching-telly mode, and Mr M finished a job application, so it's been a useful day at home.

Our Valentine's meal is going to be aubergine and pasta bake, and half a bottle of red wine.
Bet we fall asleep in front of the telly...
