How about if I went casual rather than part-time, would I get 1.2 times the hourly rate? I think I could be casual about insomnia.
I get double time, as I'm hard core. |

Dunno.
I get double time, as I'm hard core. ![]() You can tell I have a casual attitude to insomnia as it's only 10.44 pm and I'm starting to get dozy (in terms of sleepy not in terms of my mental capacity .... which is dozy at the best of times ). Night night - have a good day

Richard Madeley. Now that is funny. He wasn't doing his Ali G impression was he?
![]() Plumster - next time you've nothing to do I'd like some instructions on how to get in touch with my inner free-range chicken. And here, we've been to see Bond, James Bond. It wasn't fab but it wasn't bad either. A solid Bond film through and through but probably not one of the classics. |

Afternoon (or is it evening?!) Second load of washing is almost finished - got to love the old holiday comedown haven't you?
Sad - I was thinking about you and Sadette this morning ![]() I am almost too good at sleeping - well mostly anyway. I could fall asleep absolutely anywhere, have been known in the past to disappear at parties off for a snooze... I think it's genetic cos my eldest son is the same, at a Christmas party last year he was asleep under the table

Awwww I hope it's just a brief trip away, he makes me laugh.
Snow batgirl? wow, that's early in the year for that! Hope that doesn't mean you're in for a tough winter! We've just had the cyclone outlook for the season and it's very vague this year, it reads very much like "we don't really have a clue what's going to happen, as it's neither el nino nor el nina but but but ..... " Fortunately, they generally favour it being a quiet season, so I'm going to believe in that - a combo of blind optimism and my inner ostrich at work ![]() Oh and my grumpy news for the day is that some b***ard (scuse language) has hit my car and not left a note. My beautiful pumpkinmobile has a large white stripe all round the front off-side bumper. Arsebiscuits! |

Bit nippy out. No snow here yet. Rather hoping it holds off for another week. Or so.

2 days off for the c word is rather harsh, I feel.
And just as you return jra, I'm offski. Not exactly a holiday, but a few days away. Behave yourselves in my absence! ![]() And handy - you're being very quiet so have a hug (((handy and the melons))). I hope things are okay. xxx |

Glad to see you back jra
My mum was a head teacher at a primary school and one of the parents had tourettes and when she was talking to my mum she used to intersperse her sentences with "fat c**t" which it would appear is how she saw my mum, my mum used to say she didn't mind the c word but the fat was a tad hurtful Apparently she was a very nice lady and got on well with my mum, so we weren't entirely sure why that phrase popped into her sentences but there ya go! Well, it's nice to start the day with an anecdote! All quiet on the southern front! Washed off most of the white paint from my bumper so it doesn't look quite so bad now, some marks won't come off and the paint is chipped and scratched but if I look at it through blinkers and always approach the car from the rear then I'll never notice it Once again ostrich syndrome saves the day! It's feeling really hot here this morning, either I'm coming down with something or it's going to be a stinking hot day! Hope all there are well and happy! Enjoy your trip to Warsaw Batty, hope you get everything sorted that needs sorting and have a good time too.

Goodness me! No-one's here!
Sorry I've been MIA; my home internets doesn't like logging me on to DS and I can't always do it, and work has been so busy I haven't managed to sneak any time! I've been reading, though! Sending vibes to peeps on planes, peeps with work stress and peeps with life stress... and thank you all for yours. Haven't heard from my bro the last couple of days - suspect cos it's half term and he's up to the eyes in children. Am assuming no news is good news. jra - glad you're back. You're a paid-up member these days, y'know! ![]() ((((((((((((((((((GOWs)))))))))))))))))))))) |

Greetings snowbes!
![]() Hoping to see Skyfall on Thursday morning here, while Melony is out terrorising the staff at the football coaching sessions she's attending this week. I quite like Bourne/Bond, thugh I think probably good old Sean and the very luscious Timothy Dalton are my faves. MMMmmmmm... Music is always good, jra, though I'm a bit of a magpie and tend to like tracks rather than bands. I shall check out Mr Garnier, as a good remix never hurt anybody (see the dubstep version of Seven Nation Army by The Glitch Mob for confirmation), but I like just about anything so long as it's done with passion rather than dollar bills. Currently circling my consciousness is the "Electronica" project, which is a history of electronic music from 1958 to the present. Lodsa of goodies. And Melony, who's four, has a thing for eighties pop hits... it's the hooks!
